Synthetic oil wood impregnation glaze

CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:

Wood glaze S1023 is intended for protective glaze coatings on soft and hard woods, exposed to weather influences as well as for coatings in interiors. It protects wood from the effects of UV radiation. It contains natural oil. The wood glaze deeply penetrates the wood structure, enhancing its natural grain and thereby providing highly effective coatings. It is distinguished by very easy renewability of the old coating. Shade 0000 - colorless is intended for indoor use only!!

Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall cladding, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

The substrate wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a maximum moisture content of 12%, and free from resin residues before application. For woods with a higher resin content (pine, larch), all resin outflows must be removed, for example, by washing with BALTECH C6000 nitro thinner. The quality of preparation of the wooden surface depends on the final appearance of the finish and the overall durability of the coating system.

Wooden surfaces intended for outdoor environments must first be treated with a suitable fungicidal impregnating agent to protect the wood from attack by insects, molds, and fungi, such as LAZUROL IMPREGNATION BASE S1033. In interiors, it is advisable to first impregnate the wood with the colorless version of LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 glaze. Impregnation with colorless impregnator will equalize the absorbency of the substrate before applying additional coats. Subsequently, gently sand the wood surface with sandpaper and only then apply the impregnation glaze. During renovation, it is essential to remove any loose old coatings, for example, by sanding.

DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)

Theoretical coverage: 8 - 10 m²/l per coat depending on substrate absorbency

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Apply with a brush after thorough mixing on the prepared substrate. The glaze does not need to be diluted, it is already at application viscosity. During work, the glazing varnish must be regularly stirred. For interior use, apply in 1 to 2 coats, for exterior coatings it is advisable to use three coats, but only with colored shades. The colorless glaze is intended for interior coatings. Individual coats can be applied at intervals of 24 hours. To uniformly enhance the wood grain, it is suitable to wipe off the unabsorbed varnish after 10 to 15 minutes of application using a dry brush or cloth.

For continuous surfaces, always apply material from the same production batch, which guarantees a consistent color shade. The type of wood, surface condition, and previous coatings affect the final color tone; therefore, we recommend conducting a trial application before final implementation. Complaints about the color shade will only be accepted based on the trial area.
To achieve high gloss, you can coat the dry coating applied with LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 with LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or with the natural shade of LAZUROL GOLD S1037 glaze. Floor areas can be recoated with LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALKING VARNISH S1020.

Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, papers, dust, etc.) soaked with glaze must be safely disposed of, as they can spontaneously ignite under certain conditions.

You can also use covering materials such as protective film or paper masking tape. Don’t forget to acquire brushes and rollers as well.
