CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:

Wood stain S1023 is designed for protective staining coats on soft and hard wood exposed to weather conditions as well as for coatings in interiors. It protects wood from the effects of UV radiation. Contains natural oil. The wood stain deeply penetrates the wood structure, enhancing its natural grain and thus providing highly effective coatings. It is characterized by very easy renewability of the old coat. Shade 0000 - colorless is intended for indoor use only!!

Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden shields, ceilings, wall and ceiling paneling, fences, cabins and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

The wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a maximum moisture content of 12%, and free of resin residues before application. Wood with a high content of resin (larch, pine) must be pre-treated to remove all resin exudations, for example, by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of the preliminary treatment of the wood affects the overall appearance of the final wood finish and also the overall lifespan of the coating system.

The surface of the wood intended for exterior use must first be impregnated with a suitable fungicidal impregnator that ensures protection against mold, fungi, and insects, such as LAZUROL IMPREGNATING BASE S1033. The surface of the wood intended for indoor use is best pre-treated with the colorless stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023. Penetrating with a colorless impregnator will ensure uniform absorbency of the substrate before further application of coating materials. Subsequently, it is necessary to sand the wood surface with fine sandpaper and only then apply the impregnating stain. In renovation coatings, it is necessary to remove the old non-adhering layer by sanding, for example.

DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)

Theoretical coverage: 8 - 10 m²/l for one coat depending on the absorbency of the substrate

WORKING PROCEDURE:

Apply with a brush after thorough mixing on the pre-prepared substrate. The stain does not need to be diluted, it is already at application viscosity. During work, it is necessary to regularly stir the glazing varnish. For indoor use, it is applied in 1 to 2 coats, for outdoor coatings it is advisable to use three coats, but only in colored shades. The colorless stain is intended for indoor coatings. Individual coatings can be applied at intervals of 24 hours. To evenly enhance the wood grain, it is advisable to wipe off any excess lacquer with a dry brush or cloth after 10 to 15 minutes of application.

For large surfaces, apply the coating exclusively from one production batch, which guarantees the same shade. The final shade depends on the type, condition of the surface, and previous treatment of the wood, so it is recommended to make a test coat before widespread application. Shade complaints can only be accepted for the test area.
To achieve a high gloss, you can topcoat the dried surface painted with the LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 stain with the LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or the natural shade of the LAZUROL GOLD S1037 stain. For topcoating floors, use LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALKING VARNISH S1020.

Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, paper, dust, etc.) soaked with stain must be disposed of safely, as they may self-ignite under certain circumstances.

When working, you can use protective supplies such as paper masking tape or protective foil. Also prepare brushes and rollers.
