Synthetic oil impregnation stain
CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:
Wood stain S1023 is designed for protective staining coatings on soft and hardwood, exposed to weather conditions and for coatings in interiors. It protects the wood from the effects of UV radiation. It contains natural oil. The wood stain penetrates deeply into the structure of the wood, enhances its natural grain and thus provides a highly effective finish. It is characterized by very easy renewability of the old coating. Shade 0000 - colorless is intended for indoor use only!!
Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden shields, ceilings, wall and ceiling paneling, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:
The wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a moisture content of max. 12%, and free from resin residues before application. Wood with an increased resin content (larch, pine) must be free of all resin exudations beforehand, e.g., by washing with thinner BALTECH C6000. The quality of the wood's pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final wood finish and also the overall lifespan of the coating system.
The surface of the wood intended for exterior use must first be impregnated with a suitable fungicidal impregnator that provides protection against mold, fungi, and insects, for example, with the product LAZUROL IMPREGNATION BASE S1033. The surface of the wood intended for indoor use is best impregnated first with colorless stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023. Penetration with colorless impregnator ensures uniform absorbency of the substrate before further application of paints. Subsequently, the wood surface must be sanded with fine sandpaper and then the impregnation stain should be applied. For renovation coatings, it is necessary to remove the old non-adhering layer, e.g., by sanding.
DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)
Theoretical coverage: 8 - 10 m²/l for one layer depending on the absorbency of the substrate
WORKING PROCEDURE:
Apply with a brush after thorough mixing onto the previously prepared substrate. The stain does not need to be diluted, it is already at application viscosity. During work, it is necessary to regularly mix the staining varnish. For indoor use, it is applied in 1 to 2 layers, for outdoor coatings it is advisable to use three layers, but only with colored shades. The colorless stain is intended for coatings in interiors. Individual coatings can be applied at intervals of 24 hours. To uniformly enhance the wood grain, it is advisable to wipe off the unabsorbed varnish 10 to 15 minutes after application using a dry brush or cloth. For complete areas, always use material from the same production batch. When using the same production batch, the same shade is guaranteed. The type, surface, and previous coating of the wood affect the final shade of the coating, so it is recommended to carry out a trial coating before final application. Claims for color shades will only be accepted in the case of a trial coating.
For high gloss, the dried coating made with the LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 stain can be overcoated with LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or the natural shade of LAZUROL GOLD S1037 stain. Floors can be overcoated with LAZUROL OUTDOOR FOOT TRAFFIC VARNISH S1020.
Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, papers, dust, etc.) soaked with stain must be disposed of safely, as they may self-ignite under certain conditions.
You may find covering materials useful, such as masking tape or covering film. Don't forget about brushes and rollers.
