Thin-layer wood stain Lazurol Topdecor S1035 is intended for protective staining of hardwood and softwood exposed to the elements as well as for use indoors (garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall and ceiling paneling, fences, cabins and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, wood floor impregnation). This wood stain contains wax, natural oils, and transparent iron oxides. It deeply penetrates the substrate and enhances the wood's texture. It provides long-lasting protection for wood against water and UV radiation. The resulting coatings do not crack, are colorfast, and can be easily renewed. Shade T000 - natural is intended exclusively for indoor use!!

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

Wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded with a moisture content of max. 12%, and free of any resins before application. Wood with increased resin content (larch, pine) must be pre-treated to remove all resin exudates, e.g., by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of the wood pre-treatment depends on the overall appearance of the final wood finish and also on the overall durability of the coating system.

The surface of wood intended for outdoor use must first be impregnated with a suitable fungicidal impregnation that provides protection against mold, fungi, and insects, for example, using LAZUROL IMPREGNATION BASE S1033. The surface of wood intended for indoor use should be pre-treated with a colorless stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 or a natural shade LAZUROL TOPDECOR S1035. The penetration of a colorless impregnation ensures uniform absorbency of the substrate before further application of coatings. Subsequently, the surface of the wood must be lightly sanded, and only then should the impregnation stain be applied. During renovation, old unsound layers must be removed from the wood, for example, by sanding.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Application is carried out with a brush on the pre-treated surface after thoroughly mixing the product. The stain has already been prepared to the right viscosity, so it does not need to be diluted. While working, continuously mix the stain. For indoor use, apply in 1 to 2 layers; for outdoor use, it is recommended to apply three layers, exclusively in colored shades. The colorless stain is intended for use indoors. Maintain an interval of 24 hours between applying individual layers. To evenly enhance the wood's grain, it is recommended to wipe off the unabsorbed stain with a dry cloth or brush after 10 to 15 minutes following application.

Always paint cohesive areas with materials from the same production batch to ensure a consistent color shade. The final appearance of the shade is influenced by the type of wood, its surface condition, and any previous coatings; therefore, it is recommended to perform a test coat before final application. Color shade complaints can only be acknowledged based on the assessment of this test area.

To achieve a high gloss finish, the dried coating can be overcoated with LAZUROL TOPDECOR S1035 using LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or the natural shade of LAZUROL GOLD S1037. For floors, LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALKABLE VARNISH S1020 can be used as the top coat.

Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, papers, dust, etc.) soaked with stain must be disposed of safely, as they may self-ignite under certain conditions.

Tinting: Color shades can also be prepared in the TELURMIX tinting system.
