Synthetic oil-based wood stain

CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:

Wood stain S1023 is designed for protective staining of soft and hard wood exposed to weathering and for interior coatings. It protects wood from the effects of UV radiation. It contains natural oil. Wood stain deeply penetrates the structure of the wood, enhances its natural grain, providing highly effective coatings. It is characterized by very easy renewability of the old coat. Shade 0000 - colorless is intended for indoor use only!!

Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden shields, ceilings, wall and ceiling cladding, fences, cabins and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

The substrate must be clean, dry, thoroughly sanded, with moisture up to a maximum of 12%, and free of resin marks before application. For wood species with a higher resin content (pine, larch), all resin exudations must be removed beforehand, for example by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The level of substrate preparation directly affects the final appearance of the finish and the overall durability of the coating system.

The wooden substrate intended for outdoor use should first be treated with an appropriate fungicidal impregnation agent to protect the wood from fungi, mold, and wood-destroying insects, such as LAZUROL IMPREGNATION BASE S1033. Conversely, it is advisable to use a colorless stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 as the first layer indoors. The impregnation with a colorless product will unify the absorbency of the material before applying further layers. Then the surface should be gently sanded with sandpaper, and only then should the impregnation stain be applied. If you are renovating, remove any original non-adhering layers from the wood, for example by sanding.

DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)

Theoretical coverage: 8 - 10 m²/l per coat depending on the absorbency of the substrate

WORKING PROCEDURE:

It is applied with a brush after thorough mixing onto the pre-prepared substrate. The stain does not need to be diluted, it is already at application viscosity. During work, the staining lacquer must be regularly stirred. For indoor use, it is applied in 1 to 2 layers; for outdoor coatings, it is appropriate to use three layers, but only in colored shades. Colorless stain is intended for use indoors. Individual coats can be applied at intervals of 24 hours. For uniform enhancement of the wood grain, it is advisable to wipe off the unsunk lacquer after 10 to 15 minutes of application with a dry brush or cloth.

For continuous areas, always apply the product from the same production batch to ensure a uniform color tone. The resultant shade depends on the type of wood, its surface, and previous coatings, and therefore we recommend making a test sample before the final painting. Any complaint about color shade can only be accepted based on the test area.
If you want to achieve a high gloss, the dried surface treated with LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 can be overcoated with LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or the natural shade of LAZUROL GOLD S1037 stain. For repainting floor areas, LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALKABLE VARNISH S1020 is intended.

Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, papers, dust, etc.) soaked with stain must be disposed of safely, as they can self-ignite under certain circumstances.

When working, you will appreciate covering tools, such as cover foils and paper adhesive tapes. Also, prepare suitable brushes or rollers.
