CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:

Wood glaze S1023 is intended for protective glazing coatings of soft and hard wood exposed to weather influences as well as for coatings in interiors. It protects wood from the effects of UV radiation. Contains natural oil. The wood glaze deeply penetrates into the structure of the wood, enhancing its natural grain and thereby providing highly effective coatings. It features very easy renewability of the old coating. Shade 0000 - clear is intended only for indoor use!!

Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden shields, ceilings, wall and ceiling cladding, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

Wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a maximum moisture content of 12%, free from resin residues before application. Wood with increased resin content (larch, pine) must be free from all resin exudates beforehand, e.g., by rinsing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of wood pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final wood finish and also the overall lifespan of the coating system.

The surface of the wood intended for outdoor use must first be impregnated with a suitable fungicidal impregnator, which ensures protection against mold, fungi, and insects, e.g., using LAZUROL IMPREGNATING BASE S1033. The surface of the wood intended for indoor use is best first impregnated with clear glaze LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023. Penetration with a clear impregnator ensures uniform absorption of the substrate before further application of coatings. Subsequently, the surface of the wood must be sanded with fine sandpaper and only then the impregnating glaze should be applied. For renovation coatings, it is necessary to remove the old non-adhering layer, for example by sanding.

DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)

Theoretical yield: 8 - 10 m²/l for one coat depending on the substrate's absorbency

WORK PROCEDURE:

It is applied with a brush after thorough mixing on a pre-prepared substrate. The glaze does not need to be diluted, it is already at application viscosity. During work, it is necessary to regularly mix the glazing lacquer. For indoor use, it is applied in 1 to 2 layers; for outdoor coatings, it is advisable to use three layers, but only in colored shades. The clear glaze is intended for indoor coatings. Individual coats can be applied at intervals of 24 hours. For uniform enhancement of the wood grain, any excess lacquer should be wiped off with a dry brush or cloth 10 to 15 minutes after application.

For continuous surfaces, always choose the coating material from the same production batch, which guarantees an identical color shade. The type of wood, its surface treatment, and previous coatings affect the final shade, therefore we recommend testing the application on a smaller area before the final coat. Any complaints about color shade will be accepted exclusively based on a test coat.
To achieve high gloss, the dried coat of glaze LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 can be top-coated with the product LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or a natural tone of glaze LAZUROL GOLD S1037. Floor surfaces can be recoated with LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALKING VARNISH S1020.

Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, papers, dust, etc.) soaked with glaze must be disposed of securely, as they can self-ignite under certain circumstances.

When working, you will certainly benefit from covering materials, such as covering foil or paper adhesive tape. Don't forget to also acquire brushes and rollers.
