Lazurol Topdecor S1035 thin-film wood glaze is designed for protective glazing coatings for soft and hardwood exposed to weather conditions, as well as for indoor coatings (garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall and ceiling paneling, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors). The wood glaze contains wax, natural oil, and transparent iron oxides. It penetrates deeply into the wood structure and enhances its texture. It provides long-term protection of wood against water and UV radiation. The coatings are colorfast, easily renewable and do not crack. Shade T000 - natural is intended for indoor use only!!

Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall and ceiling paneling, fences, cottages and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

The wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, at a maximum moisture content of 12%, free of resin residues before application. Wood with a high resin content (larch, pine) must be pre-treated to remove all resin exudates, for example, by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of wood pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final wood finish and the overall lifespan of the coating system.

The surface of the wood intended for outdoor use must first be treated with a suitable fungicidal impregnation that protects the wood from mold, fungal, and insect attack, e.g. with LAZUROL IMPREGNATION BASE S1033. The surface of the wood intended for indoor use should ideally be treated with a clear glaze LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 or the natural shade LAZUROL TOPDECOR S1035. Penetration with a clear impregnation ensures uniform absorbency of the substrate before further application of coatings. Subsequently, the surface of the wood must be sanded with fine sandpaper and only then should the impregnation glaze be applied. When applying renovation coatings, the wood must be stripped of the old non-adhering layer, for example, by sanding.

DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for washing tools)

Theoretical coverage: 13-15 m²/l for one coat depending on substrate absorbency

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

Apply with a brush after thorough mixing on a pre-prepared substrate. The glaze does not need to be diluted, it is already at application viscosity. During work, it is necessary to mix the glazing lacquer regularly. For indoor use, it is applied in 1 to 2 layers, and for outdoor coatings, it is advisable to use three layers, but only in colored shades. The clear glaze is intended for coatings in interiors. Individual coats can be applied at intervals of 24 hours. To enhance the wood grain evenly, it is advisable to wipe off the unabsorbed lacquer after 10 to 15 minutes of application with a dry brush or cloth.

For consistent areas, always use material from one production batch. Using the same production batch guarantees the same color shade. The type, surface, and previous coating of the wood affect the final shade of the coating, so we recommend performing a test coat before the final application. Complaints about color shades will only be accepted with a complaint regarding the test area.

For high gloss, the dried coating made with LAZUROL TOPDECOR S1035 can be overcoated with LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or the natural shade of LAZUROL GOLD S1037 glaze. Floors can be overcoated with LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALKING VARNISH S1020.

Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, paper, dust, etc.) soaked with glaze must be disposed of safely as they may self-ignite under certain circumstances.

Tinting: Color shades can also be prepared in the TELURMIX tinting system.
