Description Eternal mat Revital paint for renewing old coatings, 213 black, 100 g

ETERNAL mat Revital is a universal silk-matt water-based coating composition for indoor and outdoor use, prepared from a special cross-linkable dispersion of acrylic copolymers, pigments, fillers, and additives. It forms relatively hard, elastic matt coatings with high weather resistance and excellent blocking resistance, even at higher temperatures. It features very good opacity, good flow, quick drying, and excellent adhesion to old synthetic and oil-based coatings. ETERNAL mat Revital meets the conditions of ČSN EN 71 part 3 Safety of toys Migration of certain elements.

Application area:
ETERNAL mat Revital is intended for indoor and outdoor coatings of wood, fiberboard, particleboard, cement-bonded boards, drywall, non-walkable concrete, metal substrates coated with anti-corrosion paint, and certain types of plastics (tough PVC, hard PVC, ABS, polystyrene plastics, Umakart, polyester and epoxy laminates; not intended for PE, PP, PTFE coatings). A test coat must be applied on plastics of unknown composition. It is suitable for painting window frames and sashes, including plastic windows, doors, door frames, bodies of central heating, school boards, furniture, such as wooden, metal, and plastic chairs, shelves, benches, carpet beaters, playground equipment, etc. ETERNAL mat Revital is suitable for both new and renovation coatings.

Processing:
ETERNAL mat Revital is applied to a dry, thoroughly cleaned, and degreased substrate free of loose particles and residues of non-adhering coatings using a brush, roller, pneumatic, or high-pressure airless spraying, at substrate and ambient temperatures between 8 °C and 30 °C and a maximum relative humidity of 75%. Depending on the chosen application technology, the coating material is diluted with water up to a maximum of 15% by weight. For application by high-pressure airless spraying, ETERNAL mat Revital is not diluted. It is sprayed at a pressure of 160 bar with nozzle no. 311 or larger (verified on VYZA vario devices). ETERNAL mat Revital is applied in two to three layers according to the required thickness, with a time interval of at least 2 hours (20 °C). At lower temperatures and higher relative humidity, the time interval must be extended. Extension is also required for highly absorbent substrates.

Consumption (final coat):

  • wood, fiberboards 0.22 – 0.35 kg/m²
  • metals 0.20 – 0.25 kg/m²
  • concrete, plaster 0.30 – 0.35 kg/m²

Coating of steel substrates:
Steel substrates must be carefully cleaned of corrosion products, mechanical impurities, residues of loose old coatings, and degreased (preferably with a solution of ETERNAL degreaser concentrate or another suitable detergent followed by rinsing with water). The prepared and dried substrate is coated with one to two coats of ETERNAL anticorrosion acrylic paint or ETERNAL for metals with an interval of 4 hours between coats. After the anticorrosion coating has dried, two layers of ETERNAL mat Revital are applied with a time interval of 2 hours between coats.

Coatings of wood, fiberboard, and particleboard:
The substrate is thoroughly cleaned of dust and mechanical impurities, resin spots are removed (for example, by washing with solvent), and the surface is soaked with FORTEKRYL impregnation agent that protects against wood-destroying and color-changing fungi and wood-destroying insects. In dry interiors, it is also possible to use the penetration agent FORTE penetral. After the impregnation has dried, the surface is sanded with fine sandpaper. Then, fiberboard and particleboard are coated with one layer of the insulating paint ETERNAL In stop to prevent the possible penetration of colored stains from the substrate into the topcoat. After the insulating coat has dried, the surface is sanded with fine sandpaper. Two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital are then applied to the prepared substrate with a time interval of 2 hours between coats.

Coatings of concrete surfaces and plasters:
Mineral substrates must be freed from non-adhering coatings, mechanical impurities, and greasy surfaces must be thoroughly degreased (ETERNAL degreaser). The dry substrate is soaked with FORTE penetral, and after it has dried, two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital are applied with a 3-hour interval between coats. For soaking very absorbent substrates (plasters), diluted ETERNAL mat Revital in a 1:1 ratio can also be used. Mineral substrates must be sufficiently carbonated.

Coatings of cement-bonded boards:
Cement-bonded boards must be sufficiently carbonated. The surface of the boards must be thoroughly cleared of mechanical impurities, non-adhering old coatings, degraded surface layers, and grease. The prepared substrate must be fully saturated with a special penetration agent FORTE penetral. This should preferably be done with one coat until the substrate is saturated. When the dried penetration agent starts to form a shiny film on the surface, the penetration is finished. After at least six hours from the penetration, two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital are applied with a technological pause of 4 hours between coats.

Coatings of plastics:
The surface of the plastics must be thoroughly cleaned, removing any residues of old non-adhering surface treatments, adhesives, separators, protective films, and degreased (preferably with a solution of ETERNAL degreaser concentrate or another suitable detergent with subsequent rinsing with water). Glossy surfaces should be sanded with fine sandpaper (No. 360 or finer). Two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital are applied to the prepared substrate with a technological pause of 4 hours between coats
