Description Eternal mat Revital color for restoring old coatings, 209 brown, 700 g

ETERNAL mat Revital is a universal silk-matt water-based coating material for indoor and outdoor use prepared from a special networkable dispersion of acrylic copolymers, pigments, fillers, and additives. It creates relatively hard, elastic matte coatings with high weather resistance and excellent blocking resistance, even at higher temperatures. It features very good coverage, good leveling, fast drying, and excellent adhesion to old synthetic and oil-based coatings. ETERNAL mat Revital meets the requirements of ČSN EN 71 part 3 Safety of toys Migration of certain elements.

Application area:
ETERNAL mat Revital is designed for indoor and outdoor coatings of wood, medium-density fiberboards, particleboards, cement-bonded boards, drywall, non-walkable concrete, metal substrates coated with anti-corrosion paint, and some types of plastics (tough PVC, rigid PVC, ABS, polystyrene plastics, Umakart, polyester and epoxy laminates; not suitable for coatings on PE, PP, PTFE). For plastics of unknown composition, a test coat must be performed in advance. It is suitable for painting window frames and sashes, including plastic windows, doors, door frames, radiator bodies, school boards, furniture such as wooden, metal, and plastic chairs, shelves, benches, carpet beaters, playground equipment, etc. ETERNAL mat Revital is suitable for both new and restorative coatings.

Application:
ETERNAL mat Revital is applied on a dry, perfectly cleaned, and degreased substrate free of loose particles and residues of non-adhesive coatings using a brush, roller, pneumatic or high-pressure airless spraying at a substrate and ambient temperature between 8 °C and 30 °C, and a relative humidity of max. 75%. Depending on the chosen application technology, the coating material is diluted with water up to a maximum of 15% by weight. For high-pressure airless spraying, ETERNAL mat Revital is not diluted. It is sprayed at a pressure of 160 bar with nozzle no. 311 or larger (verified on the VYZA vario equipment). ETERNAL mat Revital is applied in two to three layers depending on the desired thickness, with a minimum time interval of 2 hours (20 °C). At lower temperatures and higher relative humidity, the time interval must be extended. Extension is also necessary for highly absorbent substrates.

Consumption (final coat):

  • wood, wood fiberboards 0.22 – 0.35 kg/m²
  • metals 0.20 – 0.25 kg/m²
  • concrete, plaster 0.30 – 0.35 kg/m²

Coating of steel substrates:
Steel substrates must be thoroughly cleaned of corrosion by-products, mechanical dirt, residues of released old coatings, and degreased (preferably with a solution of ETERNAL degreaser concentrate or another suitable detergent followed by rinsing with water). The prepared and dried substrate is coated with one to two layers of ETERNAL anti-corrosion acrylic paint or ETERNAL for metals with an interval of 4 hours between coats. After the anti-corrosion coat has dried, two layers of ETERNAL mat Revital paint are applied with a time interval of 2 hours between coats.

Coatings of wood, wood fiberboards, and particleboards:
The substrate must be thoroughly cleaned of dust and mechanical dirt, resin spots removed (e.g., by washing with thinner), and the surface impregnated with FORTEKRYL impregnation agent, which has protective effects against wood-decaying and wood-coloring fungi and wood-destroying insects. In dry interiors, a penetrating agent FORTE penetral can also be used. After the penetration has dried, the surface is sanded with fine sandpaper. Wood fiberboards and particleboards are then coated with one layer of insulating paint ETERNAL In stop against possible color stains from the substrate penetrating into the top coat. After the insulating coat has dried, the surface is sanded with fine sandpaper. Two layers of ETERNAL mat Revital paint are applied to the prepared substrate with a time interval of 2 hours between coats.

Coatings of concrete surfaces and plasters:
Mineral substrates must be freed from non-adhesive coatings, mechanical dirt, and a greasy surface must be thoroughly degreased (ETERNAL degreaser). The dry substrate is impregnated with FORTE penetral and, after it has dried, two layers of ETERNAL mat Revital paint are applied with a time interval of 3 hours between coats. For highly absorbent substrates (plasters), it is also possible to use ETERNAL mat Revital diluted with water in a ratio of 1:1. Mineral substrates must be sufficiently carbonated.

Coatings of cement-bonded boards:
Cement-bonded boards must be sufficiently carbonated. The surface of the boards must be perfectly freed from mechanical dirt, non-adhesive old coatings, degraded surface layers, and grease. The prepared substrate should be fully saturated with a special penetrating agent FORTE penetral. It is best to penetrate with one coat to saturation of the substrate. When the dried penetrating agent begins to form a glossy film on the surface, the penetration is finished. After a minimum of six hours from penetration, two layers of ETERNAL mat Revital paint are applied with a technological break of 4 hours between coats.

Coatings of plastics:
The surface of the plastics must be thoroughly cleaned, free from residues of old non-adhesive surface treatments, glues, separators, protective films, and degreased (preferably with a solution of ETERNAL degreaser concentrate or another suitable detergent followed by rinsing with water). Glossy surfaces are best lightly sanded with fine sandpaper (no. 360 or finer). Two layers of ETERNAL mat Revital paint are applied to the prepared substrate with a technological break of 4 hours between coats
