REMAL Plus paint is a classic natural water-based kaolin wall paint. It provides excellent coverage, is breathable, abrasion-resistant, and has a standard whiteness of 86%. REMAL wall paint is used for painting walls and ceilings in interiors, suitable for painting plasters, concrete, as paint for gypsum boards, cement boards, particle boards, and renovation plasters. The paint shows wet abrasion resistance according to ČSN EN ISO 11998 – class 5. (classification according to EN 13300).
REMAL Plus wall paint is easy to process, health-safe, and environmentally friendly. The paint is suitable for painting mineral surfaces in moderately loaded interiors, such as walls and ceilings of bedrooms, living rooms, or hallways, as well as offices, schools, etc.
REMAL paints are all produced in the Czech Republic, the paints are environmentally safe, friendly to the environment. All REMAL paints are tintable, where liquid tinting colors can be used, or you can have the paints mixed directly at our stores.
Before painting, remove layers of old and non-adhering coatings. Treat absorbent substrates with REMAL universal primer, and treat non-bonding and crumbling substrates with REMAL deep primer. This will remove dust, strengthen the surface, unify absorbency, and guarantee adhesion of the coating. The drying time is 4 hours. Even out irregularities on the wall with REMAL filler. Dilute the coating with a maximum ratio of 0.4 l of water to 1 kg of paint. Then mix thoroughly.
Apply the paint with a brush, roller, or spraying in 2 layers; apply the next layer of paint after the previous one has dried, at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for painting is 15 to 25 °C. The temperature of the substrate and the environment must not drop below 5 °C during the application of wall paint. For cohesive areas, use product from one batch of paint; mix different batches before use.
When working, observe basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for coatings that come into direct contact with food, animal feeds, drinking water, or for coatings on children's toys and furniture. Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical help.
The product is treated with a biocide. It contains 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxyethyl)hexahydro-1,3,5-triazine, 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one+, octhilinone (ISO), reaction mixture: 5-chloro-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EINECS No. 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EINECS No. 220-239-6] (3:1). It may cause an allergic reaction.
covering material, such as paper adhesive tape or protective film, or possibly sandpaper. Don’t forget brushes, rollers, and spatulas.
This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining resistance to wet abrasion and determining the washability of the paint. Concerning the cleanability of coatings, it only specifies the testing method itself but does not specify the contaminants. After drying and conditioning, the coated sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a testing abrasion (cleaning) device. The loss of weight is used to calculate the average thickness loss of the coating. To establish cleanability, contaminants are applied to similarly prepared samples. The specified contaminants are left in contact with the coating film for the prescribed time. The painted, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminant was removed and the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.
For assessment, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Grading is like in school.
