REMAL Plus paint is a classic natural water-based kaolin wall paint. It provides excellent coverage, is breathable, abrasion-resistant, and has a standard whiteness of 86%. REMAL wall paint is used for painting walls and ceilings in interior spaces on plaster, concrete, as paint for drywall, cement boards, particleboard, and renovation plasters. The paint shows resistance to wet abrasion according to ČSN EN ISO 11998 – class 5. (classification according to EN 13300).
REMAL Plus wall paint is easy to process, health-friendly, and environmentally friendly. The paint is suitable for painting mineral surfaces in moderately stressed interiors, such as the walls and ceilings of bedrooms, living rooms, or corridors, but also offices, schools, etc.
All REMAL paints are manufactured in the Czech Republic, the paints are environmentally friendly, safe for the environment. All REMAL paints are tintable, where it is possible to use liquid tinting colors, or you can have the paints mixed directly at our stores.
Before painting, remove layers of old and non-adhering coatings. Treat absorbent substrates with REMAL universal primer, treat non-adhering and crumbling substrates with REMAL deep primer. This will remove dust from the surface, strengthen it, unify absorbency, and ensure adhesion of the coating. The drying time is 4 hours. Level any unevenness on the wall with REMAL Putty. Dilute the coating with a maximum ratio of 0.4 liters of water to 1 kg of paint. Then mix thoroughly.
Apply the paint with a brush, roller, or by spraying in 2 layers, apply the next layer of paint after the previous one has dried, at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for painting is between 15 and 25 °C. The temperature of the substrate and the environment must not drop below 5 °C during the application of the wall paint. Use a product from the same batch for large areas of paint, mix different batches together before use.
When working, follow basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for coatings in direct contact with food, feed, drinking water, or for coatings of children's toys and furniture. Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical assistance.
The product is treated with a biocide. It contains 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxyethyl)hexahydro-1,3,5-triazine, 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one, octhilinone (ISO), reaction mixture: 5-chloro-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [ES number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [ES number 220-239-6] (3:1). It may cause an allergic reaction.
covering material, such as paper masking tape or covering foil, possibly sanding papers. Don't forget brushes, rollers, spatulas, and scrapers.
This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining resistance to wet abrasion and determining the washability of paint. Regarding the cleanability of the coatings, it only defines the test method itself but does not specify the contaminating substances. After drying and conditioning, the coated sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a test abrasion (cleaning) device. From the weight loss, the average value of thickness loss of the coating is calculated. To determine cleanability, contaminating substances are applied to equally prepared samples. Specified contaminants are left in contact with the coating film for a prescribed time. Coated, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminating substance has been removed and whether the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.
For evaluation, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Grading is like in school.
