REMAL Plus paint is a classic natural water-based kaolin wall paint. It covers excellently, is breathable, abrasion-resistant and has a standard whiteness of 86%. REMAL wall paint is used for painting walls and ceilings indoors on plaster, concrete, as paint for drywall, cement boards, particle board and renovation plasters. The paint shows wet abrasion resistance according to ČSN EN ISO 11998 – class 5. (classification according to EN 13300).
REMAL Plus wall paint is easy to process, non-toxic and environmentally friendly. The paint is suitable for painting mineral surfaces in medium-duty interiors, such as walls and ceilings in bedrooms, living rooms, or hallways, but also in offices, schools, etc.
All REMAL paints are made in the Czech Republic, the paints are environmentally safe, and gentle on the environment. All REMAL paints are tintable, where you can use liquid tinting colors, or have the paints mixed directly at our stores.
Before painting, remove layers of old and non-adhering coatings. Treat absorbent substrates with REMAL universal primer, treat non-adhesive and crumbling substrates with REMAL deep primer. This will remove dust from the surface, reinforce it, unify absorbency and ensure adhesion of the coating. The drying time is 4 hours. Use REMAL Putty to level unevenness on the wall. Dilute the paint in a ratio of max. 0.4 l of water to 1 kg of paint. Then mix thoroughly.
Apply the paint with a brush, roller or spraying in 2 layers, apply the next coat of paint after the previous one has dried, at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for painting is 15 to 25 °C. The temperature of the substrate and environment must not drop below 5 °C when applying wall paint. Use product from one batch for continuous areas, mix different batches together before use.
When working, observe basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for coatings that come into direct contact with food, feed, drinking water or for coatings of children's toys and furniture. Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical help.
The product is treated with a biocide. It contains 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxyethyl)hexahydro-1,3,5-triazine, 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one+, octhilinone (ISO), reaction mixture: 5-chloro-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [ES number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [ES number 220-239-6] (3:1). May cause allergic reactions.
covering material, such as paper adhesive tape or covering foil, possibly sanding papers. Don't forget brushes, rollers, spatulas and trowels.
This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining wet abrasion resistance and establishing washability of paint. Regarding the cleanliness of coatings, it only sets the testing method but does not specify contaminating substances. After drying and conditioning, the painted sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a test abrasive (cleaning) device. The mean value of the thickness loss of the coating is calculated from the weight loss. To determine washability, contaminating substances are applied to similarly prepared samples. Specified contaminating substances are left in contact with the coating film for the prescribed time. The painted, soiled samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminating substance has been removed and the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.
5 classes are used for evaluation - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Grading is like in school.
