REMAL FORTE is a special washable paint for drywall for coating drywall boards, which can also be used for coatings on plaster, concrete, cetris boards, chipboard, etc. in interiors. REMAL drywall paint is health-safe and environmentally friendly.
Paint for drywall provides excellent coverage, is breathable, washable, and has a high whiteness of 93%. Washable wall paint - shows resistance to abrasion when wet – measured according to ČSN EN ISO 11998 – class 3. (classification according to EN 13300).
Treat the drywall with REMAL universal primer or diluted drywall paint in a ratio of 1 part paint and 1-2 parts water. This will remove dust, unify absorption, and ensure adhesion. Drying time 4 h.
To level holes, cracks, and uneven surfaces, use REMAL Filler. In larger cracks, it is necessary to remove loose material, and for their filling, you can use UNIFLEX acrylic sealant for drywall; after it dries, use REMAL Filler for leveling. After drying and sanding, the substrate is easier to repaint with paint.
Dilute REMAL Forte drywall paint in a maximum ratio of 0.1 L of water to 1 kg of paint. Then mix thoroughly. Apply with a brush, roller, or spraying in 1 - 2 coats; apply the next coat after the previous has dried, at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for painting is 15 to 25 °C. The temperature of the substrate and the environment must not drop below 5 °C during application. For uniform areas, use product from one batch; mix different batches together before use.
When working, follow basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for coatings coming into direct contact with food, feed, drinking water, nor for coatings of children's toys and furniture. Keep
out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical help.
The product is treated with a biocide. It contains a reactive mixture: 5-chloro-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC number 220-239-6] (3:1). It may cause an allergic reaction.
The product retains its usable properties for 5 years from the date of manufacture, in the original unopened container. Store in a dry place at a temperature of 5 to 25 °C.

protective materials, such as paper adhesive tape or protective films, orsandpapers. Don’t forget brushes, rollers, spatulas, and scrapers.
This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining the resistance to wet abrasion and washability of the paint. As for the cleanability of coatings, it only establishes the testing method itself but does not specify the contaminating substances. After drying and conditioning, the painted sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in the testing abrasion (cleaning) equipment. The loss of weight is used to calculate the average loss of thickness of the coating. For cleanability determination, contaminating substances are applied to equally prepared samples. Specified contaminating substances are left in contact with the coating film for the prescribed period. Painted, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminating substance has been removed and whether the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.
For evaluation, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Grading is like in school.
How often to paint?
It is generally recommended to paint approximately every 4 to 5 years. However, if you have small children or a pet in the family, for hygiene and aesthetic reasons, it is advisable to repaint approximately every 2 years.
