Before painting with REMAL Expert, remove layers of old and non-adhering paints. Absorbent substrates should be treated with REMAL universal primer, non-cohesive and crumbling substrates should be treated with REMAL deep primer. This will remove dust from the surface, strengthen it, unify absorbency, and ensure adhesion of the paint coating. The drying time is 4 hours. Level irregularities on the wall with REMAL putty. Dilute the paint at a ratio of max. 0.2 l of water per 1 kg of paint. Then mix thoroughly.
Apply the paint with a brush, roller, or by spraying in 2 coats, apply the next coat of paint after the previous one has dried, at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for painting with the paint is 15 to 25 °C. The temperature of the substrate and the environment must not fall below 5 °C during the application of the wall paint. Use product from one batch for completed areas, mix different batches together before use.
When working, observe basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for coatings that come into direct contact with food, feed, drinking water, or for painting children's toys and children's furniture. Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical attention.

This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining the resistance to abrasion when wet and for determining the washability of the paint. Regarding the cleanability of coatings, it only provides the testing method itself but does not specify the contaminating substances. After drying and conditioning, the painted sample is weighed and subjected to cleaning cycles when wet in a test abrasion (cleaning) device. From the weight loss, the average value of the loss of coating thickness is calculated. To determine cleanability, contaminants are applied to equally prepared samples. Specified contaminants are left in contact with the coating film for the prescribed time. The painted, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminating substance has been removed and whether the coating is resistant to abrasion when wet.
For assessment, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Grading like in school.
