Washable paint for walls REMAL Vinyl Color Matt is a premium colored washable paint with a velvet matte finish, excellent coverage, and abrasion resistance. The surface of the paint is gently washable. The coating is intended for painting walls and ceilings indoors on plaster, drywall, and other substrates.
The product is easy to process, health-friendly, and environmentally friendly. It shows washability and wet abrasion resistance after 28 days - class 1. (measured according to ČSN EN ISO 11998, classified according to EN 13300). Application method: brush, paint roller, spraying.
up to 12 m² /1 kg for one coat.
Old non-adhering coatings in thicker layers should be scraped off. Before painting, treat the surface with penetration REMAL deep penetration. This will remove dust, strengthen, unify absorbency, and ensure adhesion. Drying time is 4 hours. Fix wall irregularities with REMAL plaster. For touching up spots, e.g., after water damage, it is advisable to use isolation coating REMAL Flek-stop. Before use, mix the coating thoroughly, it is diluted for painting. If necessary, dilute with a maximum of 5% clean water. Apply with REMAL Vinyl roller with short nap. The coating covers in one layer. Recoat after min. 4 hours. The optimal temperature for application is 15 to 25 °C. Clean dirty areas and tools immediately after application with water, dried coating is difficult to remove.
Method of application for washable paint for walls:
REMAL Vinyl roller with short nap, brush, AIRLESS spraying - e.g., STORCH AIRLESS ST 550, STORCH AIRLESS ST 700, or STORCH AIRLESS ST 800 with recommended pressure from 120 - 150 bar, nozzle size 515 or 517, gun filter 50 mesh. When spraying, we always recommend performing tests on the specific equipment in advance.

covering materials, such as paper adhesive tape or covering foil, or sanding papers. Don’t forget brushes, rollers, trays, and spatulas.
This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining wet abrasion resistance and the washability of paint. Regarding the cleanability of coatings, it specifies only the testing method itself but does not specify the pollutants. After drying and conditioning, the painted sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a test abrasion (cleaning) device. The loss of weight is used to calculate the average loss of coating thickness. To determine cleanability, pollutants are applied to identically prepared samples. Specified pollutants are left in contact with the paint film for a prescribed time. Painted, polluted samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the pollutant has been removed and the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.
For assessment, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst.
