Washable paint for walls REMAL Vinyl Color Mat is a premium colored washable paint with a velvety matte appearance, excellent coverage, and abrasion resistance. The surface of the paint is gently washable. The coating is intended for painting walls and ceilings indoors on plaster, drywall, and other substrates.
The product is easy to process, health safe, and environmentally friendly. It shows washability of paint with resistance to wet abrasion after 28 days - class 1. (measured according to ČSN EN ISO 11998, classified according to EN 13300). Application method: brush, paint roller.
up to 12 m² /1 kg for one coat.
Old non-adhering coatings in thicker layers should be scraped off. Before painting, treat the surface with REMAL deep primer. This will remove dust, strengthen, unify absorbency, and ensure adhesion. Drying time is 4 hours. Even out wall irregularities with REMAL putty. For touching up stains, such as after leaks, it is advisable to use REMAL Flek-stop insulation coating. Before use, thoroughly mix the paint, it is diluted for painting. If necessary, dilute with a maximum of 5% clean water. Apply with a short-haired REMAL Vinyl roller. The coating covers in one layer. Repaint after at least 4 hours. The optimal temperature for application is 15 to 25 °C. Clean contaminated areas and tools immediately after application with water, dried paint is difficult to remove.
Method of application for washable paint for walls:
REMAL Vinyl roller with short hair, brush, AIRLESS spraying - e.g. STORCH AIRLESS ST 550, STORCH AIRLESS ST 700, or STORCH AIRLESS ST 800 recommended pressure from 120 – 150 bar, nozzle size 515 or 517, filter for the gun 50 mesh. When applying by spraying, we recommend always conducting tests on the specific equipment in advance.

covering material, such as paper adhesive tape or covering foil, possibly sandpapers. Don't forget brushes, rollers, spatulas, and scrapers.
This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining the resistance to wet abrasion and establishing the washability of paint. Regarding the cleanability of coatings, it only specifies the test method itself but does not specify the contaminants. After drying and conditioning, the painted sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a testing abrasion (cleaning) device. From the weight loss, the average value of thickness loss of the coating is calculated. For determining cleanability, contaminants are applied to equally prepared samples. Specified contaminants are left in contact with the coating film for the prescribed time. Painted, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminant was removed and whether the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.
For evaluation, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst.
