REMAL Color is a water-based tinted wall paint with a pleasant scent available in attractive shades. It is recommended for painting walls and ceilings indoors, on plaster including renovation plaster, drywall, and other substrates. It is easy to apply, health-safe, and environmentally friendly.
A wall paint that is slightly washable, exhibits resistance to wet abrasion after 28 days - class 5. (measured according to ČSN EN ISO 11998, classified according to EN 13300).
Before painting, remove layers of old and non-adherent coatings. Treat absorbent substrates with REMAL universal primer, and treat non-adherent and crumbling substrates with REMAL deep primer. This will remove dust, reinforce the surface, unify absorbency, and ensure the adhesion of the coating. The drying time is 4 hours. Level out unevenness on the wall with REMAL Filler.
The paint can be diluted according to the method of application with a maximum of 10% water. Then mix thoroughly. Apply with a brush, roller, or spraying in 2 coats, applying the next coat after the previous one has dried, at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for painting is 15 to 25° C. The temperature of the substrate and the environment must not drop below 5° C during application. Use the product from one batch on contiguous areas, mix different batches together before use.
When working, observe basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for coatings that come into direct contact with food, animal feed, drinking water, or for painting toys and children's furniture.
Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical attention.
The product is treated with a biocide. It contains 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxyethyl)hexahydro-1,3,5-triazin, 1,2-benzoisothiazol-3(2H) -on+, octhilinone (ISO), reaction mixture: 5-chlor-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H) -on [EC number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-on [EC number 220-239-6] (3:1). It may cause an allergic reaction.
covering material, such as masking tape or covering film, possibly sanding papers. Don't forget brushes, rollers, spatulas, and knives.
This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining resistance to wet abrasion and assessing the washability of wall paint. Regarding the cleanability of coatings, it specifies only the testing method itself, but does not specify contaminating substances. After drying and conditioning, the painted sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a test abrasion (cleaning) device. From the weight loss, the average value of the decrease in film thickness is calculated. To determine cleanability, contaminating substances are applied to equally prepared samples. The specified contaminants are allowed to remain in contact with the coating film for a prescribed period. The painted, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminating substance has been removed and whether the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.
For evaluation, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Grading similar to school.
