REMAL Plus paint is a classic natural water-soluble kaolin wall paint. It provides excellent coverage, is breathable, abrasion-resistant, and has a standard whiteness of 86%. REMAL wall paint is used for painting walls and ceilings indoors, on plaster, concrete, as paint for drywall, cement boards, chipboard, and renovation plasters. The paint has wet abrasion resistance according to ČSN EN ISO 11998 – class 5. (classification according to EN 13300).
REMAL Plus wall paint is easy to work with, health-safe, and environmentally friendly. The paint is suitable for painting mineral surfaces in medium-duty interiors, such as the walls and ceilings of bedrooms, living rooms, or hallways, but also offices, schools, etc.
REMAL paints are all manufactured in the Czech Republic, the paints are environmentally safe and friendly to the environment. All REMAL paints are tintable, where liquid tinting colors can be used, or you can have the paints mixed directly at our stores.
Before painting, remove layers of old and non-adhering coatings. Treat absorbent substrates with REMAL universal primer, non-adhering and crumbling substrates with REMAL deep primer. This will remove dust, strengthen the surface, unify absorbency and ensure adhesion of the coating. The drying time is 4 hours. Level unevenness on the wall with REMAL Putty. Dilute the coating with a maximum ratio of 0.4 l of water to 1 kg of paint. Then mix thoroughly.
Apply the painting paint with a brush, roller, or spraying in 2 layers, apply the next layer of painting paint after the previous one has dried, at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for painting the painting paint is 15 to 25 °C. The temperature of the substrate and the environment must not drop below 5 °C during the application of the wall paint. For solid surfaces, use the product from one batch of painting paint, mix different batches together before use.
When working, observe basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for coatings that come into direct contact with food, feed, drinking water, or for coatings of children's toys and children's furniture. Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical attention.
The product is treated with a biocide. It contains 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxyethyl)hexahydro-1,3,5-triazine, 1,2-benzoisothiazol-3(2H)-one, octhilinone (ISO), reaction mixture: 5-chloro-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [ES number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [ES number 220-239-6] (3:1). It may cause an allergic reaction.
covering material, such as paper adhesive tape or covering foil, optionally sanding papers. Don't forget about brushes, rollers, spatulas, and scrapers.
This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining wet abrasion resistance and washability of paint. Regarding the cleanability of coatings, it only establishes the testing method itself but does not specify the contaminating substances. After drying and conditioning, the painted sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a testing abrasion (cleaning) device. The loss of weight is used to calculate the mean value of the loss of coating thickness. To determine cleanability, contaminating substances are applied to similarly prepared samples. The specified contaminating substances are left in contact with the coating film for the prescribed time. The painted, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminating substance has been removed and the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.
Five classes are used for evaluation - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Grading like in school.
