REMAL Plus paint is a classic natural water-dispersible kaolin paint for walls. It has excellent coverage, is breathable, abrasion-resistant and has a standard whiteness of 86%. REMAL wall paint is used for painting walls and ceilings in interiors on plaster, concrete, as paint for drywall, cement boards, particle boards, and renovation plasters. The paint exhibits wet abrasion resistance according to ČSN EN ISO 11998 – class 5. (classification according to EN 13300).
REMAL Plus wall paint is easy to process, safe for health, and environmentally friendly. The paint is suitable for painting mineral surfaces in moderately used interiors, such as walls and ceilings of bedrooms, living rooms, or hallways, but also in offices, schools, etc.
REMAL paints are all produced in the Czech Republic, the paints are environmentally friendly, gentle on the environment. All REMAL paints are tintable, where you can use liquid tinting colors, or have the paints mixed directly in our stores.
Before painting, remove layers of old and non-adhering coatings. Treat absorbent substrates with REMAL universal primer, non-cohesive and crumbling substrates with REMAL deep primer. This will remove dust from the surface, strengthen it, unify absorbency, and ensure adhesion of the coating. The drying time is 4 hours. Smooth out imperfections on the wall with REMAL filler. Dilute the coating with a maximum of 0.4 l of water per 1 kg of paint. Then mix thoroughly.
Apply the paint with a brush, roller, or spraying in 2 coats, applying the next coat of paint after the previous one has dried, at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for painting the wall paint is 15 to 25 °C. The temperature of the substrate and environment must not drop below 5 °C during the application of wall paint. For complete areas, use product from one batch of paint, mix different batches together before use.
When working, adhere to basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for coatings that come into direct contact with food, animal feed, drinking water, or for coating children's toys and furniture. Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical help.
The product is treated with biocide. It contains 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxyethyl)hexahydro-1,3,5-triazin, 1,2-benzoisothiazol-3(2H)-one+, octhilinone (ISO), reaction mixture: 5-chlor-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC number 220-239-6] (3:1). It may cause an allergic reaction.
covering materials, such as paper adhesive tape or covering film, possibly sanding papers. Don’t forget about brushes, rollers, paint pads, and spatulas.
This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining wet abrasion resistance and washability of paint. Regarding the cleanability of coatings, it only specifies the testing method itself but does not specify contaminating substances. After drying and conditioning, the coated sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in the testing abrasion (cleaning) device. The loss of weight is used to calculate the average thickness loss of the coating. To determine cleanability, contaminating substances are applied to equally prepared samples. Specified contaminating substances are allowed to remain in contact with the coating for the prescribed time. Coated, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminating substance has been removed and the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.
For evaluation, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Grading is like in school.
