Decorative painter's paint REMAL Efekt with a metallic and pearlescent appearance for modern design decoration using various painting techniques such as brush or roller painting, spraying, sponging, and using painter's stencils. By combining REMAL Efekt colors with tinting pastes, for example, you can create delicate, noble, and artistic wall appearances.

Due to endless combinations, using various work processes and the creator's improvisation, each result can be considered an original and unique work of art. The optical properties of the decorative paints (brightness, shimmer, gloss, strength, depth, etc.) will be revealed through suitable application. The final appearance is also influenced by the shade of the substrate used and especially by the lighting. Details have a very effective impact when light hits them or when viewed from different directions and angles. By utilizing the contrast of light and dark, you achieve a brighter and more vibrant surface full of freshness.

It is recommended for decorative coatings of all types of mineral plasters, wooden substrates, plasterboards, etc. in interiors and exteriors. It is suitable for decorative rollers, painter's lines, etc. In outdoor environments, it can only be used for temporary applications.

Example of application procedure for decorative gloss on the wall:

The substrate must be even and without cracks, dry and sufficiently matured, solid, free of dust, old coatings, and loose particles. It must be free from biological contamination (mold, algae). Too absorbent, crumbling, or
non-cohesive substrates must be pre-treated (strengthened) with suitable primer, e.g., REMAL, BARLET, or SOICRAT. Biological contamination (mold) should be eliminated with REMAL Sanal for masonry V1406.

The base coat of the plaster is done with REMAL or REMAL VINYL paint in various shades. Before application, the paint must be thoroughly mixed. Slight sedimentation is not a problem. The paint is diluted according to the application method in a ratio of 1 part paint to 0 – 1 part water. Other areas must be protected from contamination. Contaminated areas must be cleaned immediately, as dried paint is difficult to remove. The optimal temperature for application is recommended to be between 15 and 25° C. The optimal humidity is 50 to 70 rel. %. Increased humidity and lower temperatures can significantly affect drying time. For contiguous areas, use a product from the same batch, mix different batches together before use.

Handling decorative painter's gloss:

During work, adhere to basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for surfaces coming into direct contact with food, feed, drinking water, or for painting children's toys and furniture. Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical attention.

The product is treated with a biocide. It contains a reaction mixture: 5-chlor-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EU number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EU number 220-239-6] (3:1). It may cause an allergic reaction.
Shelf life The product retains its useful properties for 5 years from the date of production in the original unopened packaging. Store in a dry place at a temperature of 5 to 25 °C.

Dispose of containers with leftover product at the location designated by the municipality for the collection of other waste. See also section 13 of the product safety data sheet.

You may need covering material, such as paper adhesive tape or covering foil, or sanding papers. Don't forget about brushes, rollers, scrapers, and spatulas.
