REMAL Efekt is a decorative painting color with a pearlescent and metallic effect, designed for the decoration of modern interiors using various painting techniques, such as brushing or rolling, spraying, stippling with a sponge, or working with stencils. Combining REMAL Efekt colors, for example with tinting pastes, allows you to achieve a subtle, noble, and artistic appearance on walls.

Countless combinations, diverse work processes, and the creator's own inventions transform each result into a unique and unrepeatable work of art. The optical properties of these decorative coatings (brightness, sparkle, gloss, depth, strength,...) are fully highlighted with appropriate application. The resulting effect is also influenced by the color of the substrate and primarily by light. Details are strikingly captivating when light hits them or from various angles. By utilizing the contrast between light and darkness, you can achieve a brighter, more vibrant, and fresher surface.

It is recommended for decorative coatings of all types of mineral plasters, wood substrates, drywall, etc. in both interiors and exteriors. It is suitable for decorative rollers, painting lines, and similar applications. In outdoor environments, the coating is intended exclusively for short-term use.

Example of the painting procedure for decorative gloss on walls:

The substrate must be even, without cracks, sufficiently ripe, dry and solid, free of dust, previous coatings, and non-adhering particles. It is necessary to eliminate biological infestations (mold, algae). Overly absorbent, crumbling, or
non-adhering substrates must be primed (strengthened) beforehand with suitable primer such as REMAL, BARLET, or SOICRAT. Biological infestation (mold) should be eliminated using the REMAL Sanal product for masonry V1406.

For the base coat of plaster, use REMAL or REMAL VINYL paint in various shades. Before application, the paint must be properly mixed. Minor sedimentation is not a disadvantage. The paint is diluted according to the method of application in the ratio of 1 part paint to 0 – 1 part water. Surrounding areas must be protected from contamination. In case of contamination, clean the affected areas promptly, as dried paint is very difficult to remove. The recommended optimal temperature for application is between 15 and 25° C. The optimal air humidity is 50 to 70 rel. %. Higher humidity and lower temperatures can significantly affect drying speed. Use products from the same batch for cohesive areas; mix different batches together before use.

Covering materials will also come in handy, such as paper masking tape or covering foil, and potentially sanding papers. Don't forget brushes, rollers, paint trays, and spatulas.
