For creating modern designs, the decorative painting color REMAL Effect with pearlescent and metallic effects is intended, which can be applied using various painting techniques, such as rolling or brushing, spraying, sponging, or using painting stencils. By combining the REMAL Effect colors, for example in conjunction with tinting pastes, you achieve a noble, subtle, and artistic appearance of the walls.

The wide possibilities of combining, using diverse work processes, and personal improvisation make each result an original and unique work of art. Proper application of these decorative painting colors highlights their optical qualities (brightness, shimmer, gloss, strength, depth,…). The final impression is also influenced by the shade of the substrate and especially the lighting. Individual details look very effective when light hits them and from different directions and angles. By utilizing the contrast between light and dark, you can achieve a brighter, fresher, and livelier surface.

It is recommended for decorative coatings of all types of mineral plasters, substrates made of wood, drywall, etc. in both indoor and outdoor environments. It is suitable for use with decorative rollers, painting lines, etc. In the exterior, its use is possible only for short-term applications.

Example of the application procedure for decorative gloss on walls:

The substrate must be even, without cracks, dry, sufficiently cured and strong, free of dust, original coatings, and loose particles. It must be free of biological contamination (mold, algae). Too absorbent, crumbling, or
loose substrates must be pre-treated (strengthened) with suitable primer, e.g. REMAL, BARLET, or SOICRAT. Biological contamination (mold) must be eliminated with REMAL Sanal for masonry V1406.

The base coat for plaster is applied with REMAL or REMAL VINYL paint in various shades. Before application, the paint must be properly mixed. Mild sedimentation is not a disadvantage. The paint is diluted according to the method of application, in the ratio of 1 part paint to 0 – 1 part water. Other areas must be protected against contamination. Contaminated spots must be cleaned immediately, as dried paint is difficult to remove. The optimal temperature for application is recommended in the range of 15 to 25° C. The optimal humidity is 50 to 70 rel. %. Increased humidity and lower temperatures can significantly affect drying speed. For uniform areas, use the product from one batch, mix different batches together before use.

You may find covering materials useful, such as paper adhesive tape or covering foil, possibly sanding papers. Don’t forget brushes, rollers, spatulas, and putty knives.
