The decorative painter's paint REMAL Effect with a metallic and pearlescent appearance for decorating modern designs using various painting techniques such as brush or roller painting, spraying, sponge dabbing, and using painting stencils. By mutually combining REMAL Effect colors with tinting pastes, it is possible to create subtle, noble, and artistic wall appearances.

Due to endless combinations, the use of various work processes, and the creator's improvisation, every result can be considered an original and unique work of art. With the appropriate use of decorative painter's paints, their optical properties (brightness, sparkle, gloss, strength, depth,...) are manifested. The final appearance is also influenced by the shade of the substrate used and primarily by the lighting. Details are very effective when light hits them or when viewed from different directions and angles. By using the contrast of light and dark, you achieve a brighter and more vibrant surface full of freshness.

It is recommended for decorative coatings of all types of mineral plasters, wooden substrates, drywall, etc., in interiors and exteriors. It is suitable for decorative rollers, painter's lines, etc. In outdoor environments, it can only be used for short-term applications.

Example of application procedure for decorative gloss on the wall:

The substrate must be flat and free of cracks, dry and sufficiently matured, solid, free of dust, old coatings, and non-adhering particles. It must be free from biological contamination (mold, algae). Overly absorbent, crumbling, or non-adhering substrates must be pre-treated with a suitable primer, such as REMAL, BARLET, or SOICRAT. Biological contamination (mold) must be eliminated with the product REMAL Sanal for masonry V1406.

The base coat of the plaster is performed with painter's paint REMAL or REMAL VINYL in various shades. Before application, the paint must be thoroughly mixed. Slight sedimentation is not a disadvantage. The paint is thinned according to the method of application in the ratio of 1 part paint to 0 – 1 part water. Other areas must be protected from contamination. Contaminated spots must be cleaned immediately, as dried paint is difficult to remove. The optimal temperature during application is recommended between 15 to 25°C. The optimal humidity is 50 to 70% relative. Increased humidity and lower temperatures can significantly affect drying speed. For continuous areas, use the product from one batch, mix different batches before use.

Handling decorative painter's gloss:

Follow basic hygiene rules while working. The product is not intended for coatings that come into direct contact with food, animal feed, drinking water, or for coatings of children’s toys and furniture. Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical attention.

The product is treated with a biocide. It contains the reaction mixture: 5-chloro-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC number 220-239-6] (3:1). It may cause an allergic reaction.
Storage Life: The product retains its useful properties for 5 years from the production date, in the original unopened packaging. Store in a dry place at a temperature of 5 to 25 °C.

Disposal of packaging and waste: decorative gloss REMAL Effect:

Dispose of containers with remnants of the product at a designated place for collecting other waste by the municipality. See also section 13 of the product safety data sheet.

You might find it useful to have covering materials, such as paper adhesive tape or covering foil, or possibly sanding papers. Don't forget about brushes, rollers, spatulas, and scrapers.
