REMAL Color is a water-dispersible tinted paint with a pleasant scent available in attractive shades. It is recommended for painting walls and ceilings in interiors, on plaster including renovation plasters, drywall, and other substrates. It is easy to work with, health-safe, and eco-friendly.
Wall paint that is slightly washable, demonstrates resistance to wet abrasion after 28 days - class 5. (measured according to ČSN EN ISO 11998, classified according to EN 13300).
Before painting, remove layers of old and non-adhering coatings. Treat absorbent substrates with REMAL universal primer, and treat non-cohesive and crumbling substrates with REMAL deep primer. This will remove dust, strengthen the surface, unify absorbency, and ensure adhesion of the coating. Drying time is 4 hours. Even out irregularities on the wall with REMAL Filler.
The paint can be thinned according to the application method by a maximum of 10% water. Then mix thoroughly. Apply with a brush, roller, or spray in 2 layers, applying the next layer after the previous one has dried, at least after 4 h. The optimal temperature for painting is 15 to 25° C. The temperature of the substrate and environment must not fall below 5° C during application. For uniform areas, use product from the same batch; mix different batches together before use.
When working, follow basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for coatings that come into direct contact with food, animal feed, drinking water, or for coatings of children's toys and furniture.
Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical help.
The product is treated with a biocide. It contains 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxyethyl)hexahydro-1,3,5-triazine, 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one+, octhilinone (ISO), a reaction mixture: 5-chloro-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC number 220-239-6] (3:1). May cause an allergic reaction.
covering material, such as paper adhesive tape or covering foil, or sanding papers. Don't forget brushes, rollers, spatulas, and trowels.
This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining resistance to wet abrasion and washability of wall paint. Regarding the cleanability of coatings, it only specifies the testing method itself but does not specify contaminating substances. After drying and conditioning, the coated sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a testing abrasion (cleaning) device. From the weight loss, the average thickness loss value of the coating is calculated. To determine cleanability, contaminating substances are applied to similarly prepared samples. Specified contaminating substances are left in contact with the coating film for the prescribed time. Coated, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminating substance has been removed and whether the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.
For evaluation, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Grading is like in school.
