REMAL Flek-stop is a special water-based primer for walls for interiors and exteriors designed to isolate stains that reappear on the surface when overcoated with regular interior paint, particularly stains from leaking water, nicotine, smoke etc.).

Example of application procedure for stain paint:

Before painting the wall, remove layers of old and non-adherent coatings. Treat absorbent substrates with REMAL universal primer, and treat non-cohesive and crumbling substrates with REMAL deep primer. This will remove dust from the surface, strengthen it, unify absorption, and ensure paint adhesion. Drying time is 4 hours. Dilute the coating with a maximum ratio of 0.1 l of water to 1 kg of paint. Then mix thoroughly.

Apply with a brush or roller in 1 to 2 layers, applying the next layer after the previous one has dried, at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for painting is 15 to 25 °C. Finally, overcoat the covering primer with any paint from the REMAL range.

You may find covering material useful, such as paper adhesive tape or covering film, or possibly sanding paper. Don’t forget brushes, rollers, paint brushes, and spatulas.
