REMAL Expert is velvety matte and bright white wall paint with an extremely high whiteness of 96%. This interior paint has excellent covering power and is also highly breathable, suitable for renovation plasters.

REMAL Expert wall paint is used for painting plasters, concrete, drywall, cement boards, particle boards, and renovation plasters indoors.

This interior wall paint REMAL Expert is resistant to wet abrasion and is a washable paint – measured according to ČSN EN ISO 11998 – class 5 (classification according to EN 13300).

REMAL Expert wall paint is intended for extremely white coatings of residential and commercial spaces - a representative bright white wall color. The paint contains an optical brightener that enhances the extremely high whiteness of the paint coating.

Working procedure for REMAL Expert wall paint:

Before painting with REMAL Expert, remove layers of old and non-adhering paints. Porous substrates should be treated with REMAL universal primer, non-adhering and crumbling substrates should be treated with REMAL deep primer. This will remove dust from the surface, strengthen it, unify absorbency, and ensure adhesion of the paint. The drying time is 4 hours. Level unevenness on the wall with REMAL Spackling. Dilute the paint in a ratio of max. 0.2 l of water to 1 kg of paint. Then mix thoroughly.

Apply the paint with a brush, roller, or spraying in 2 layers; apply the next coat of paint after the previous layer has dried, at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for painting is 15 to 25 °C. The temperature of the substrate and environment must not drop below 5 °C during the application of the wall paint. Use products from one batch for uniform areas, mix different batches together before use.

Handling REMAL Expert wall paint:

When working, follow basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for coatings coming into direct contact with foodstuffs, animal feeds, drinking water, or for coatings on children's toys and furniture. Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical attention.

The product is treated with a biocide. It contains 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxyethyl)hexahydro-1,3,5-triazin, 1,2-benzoisothiazol-3(2H) -one+, octhilinone (ISO), reaction mixture: 5-chlor-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H) -one [ES number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [ES number 220-239-6] (3:1). It may cause an allergic reaction.

Washability of the paint in practice is determined by the standard WET ABRASION RESISTANCE ČSN EN ISO 11998

This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining resistance to wet abrasion and the washability of wall paint. Regarding the cleanability of coatings, it specifies only the test method itself but does not specify the contaminating substances. After drying and conditioning, the painted sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a test abrasion (cleaning) device. From the weight loss, the average loss in thickness of the coating is calculated. To determine cleanability, the contaminating substances are applied to similarly prepared samples. The specified contaminants are left in contact with the paint film for the prescribed period. The painted, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminating substance was removed and whether the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.

For evaluation, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Grading as in school.
