Before painting with REMAL Expert wall paint, remove layers of old and non-adhering paints. Absorbent surfaces should be treated with REMAL universal primer, non-adhering and crumbling surfaces should be treated with REMAL deep primer. This will remove dust from the surface, strengthen it, unify absorbency, and ensure adhesion of the paint layer. Drying time is 4 hours. Level any unevenness on the wall with REMAL Filler. Dilute the paint with a maximum ratio of 0.2 l of water to 1 kg of paint. Then mix thoroughly.
Apply the paint in two coats with a brush, roller, or spraying; apply the next coat of paint after the previous one has dried, at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for painting the wall paint is 15 to 25 °C. The temperature of the substrate and the environment must not drop below 5 °C during the application of the wall paint. For uniform areas, use product from one batch of wall paint, mix different batches together before use.
When working, observe basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for coatings that come into direct contact with food, feed, drinking water, or for coatings of children's toys and furniture. Keep out of reach of children. If you do not feel well, seek medical help.
The product is treated with a biocide. It contains 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxyethyl)hexahydro-1,3,5-triazin, 1,2-benzoisothiazol-3(2H) -on+, octhilinone (ISO), reaction mixture: 5-chlor-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H) -on [ES number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-on [ES number 220-239-6] (3:1). May cause an allergic reaction.

This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining wet abrasion resistance and washability of wall paint. Regarding the cleanability of coatings, it only specifies the testing method itself but does not specify contaminating substances. After drying and conditioning, the painted sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a test abrasion (cleaning) device. From the weight loss, the average value of the loss of coating thickness is calculated. To determine cleanability, contaminating substances are applied to equally prepared samples. The specified contaminants are allowed to remain in contact with the coating film for the prescribed time. The painted, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminating substance has been removed and the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.
For evaluation, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Grading is like in school.
