REMAL Ekonomik is a paint with optically enhanced whiteness, opacity, and high vapor permeability. The REMAL Ekonomik paint is used for painting plasters, concrete, plasterboard, Cetris boards, particle board, and renovation plasters in interiors. The paint is made from natural limestone, allowing for multiple layers to be applied. Due to its composition, it enables faster drying. The REMAL Ekonomik wall paint has a whiteness of 94%.
The interior paint for walls and ceilings REMAL Ekonomik is easy to process, health-friendly, and ecological. It shows resistance to wet abrasion after 28 days - class 5. (measured according to ČSN EN ISO 11998, classified according to EN 13300).

Before painting with REMAL Ekonomik universal wall paint, remove layers of old and non-adhering paints. It is good to treat absorbent substrates with REMAL universal primer, non-cohesive and crumbling substrates should be treated with REMAL deep primer. This will remove dust from the surface, strengthen it, unify absorption, and ensure the adhesion of the paint. The drying time is 4 hours. Even out the irregularities on the wall with REMAL Filler. Dilute the paint with a maximum ratio of 0.2 l of water to 1 kg of paint. Then mix thoroughly.
Apply the paint with a brush, roller, or spraying in 2 layers, applying the next layer of paint after the previous one has dried, at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for painting is between 15 and 25 °C. The temperature of the substrate and the environment must not drop below 5 °C during the application of the wall paint. For uniform areas, use product from one batch of paint; mix different batches together before use.
When working, follow basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for coatings that come into direct contact with food, animal feed, drinking water, nor for coatings on children's toys and furniture. Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical attention.

This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining wet abrasion resistance and washability of paint. Regarding the cleanability of coatings, it only stipulates the testing method itself but does not specify the contaminating substances. After drying and conditioning, the coated sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a test abrasion (cleaning) device. From the weight loss, the average value of the paint thickness loss is calculated. To determine cleanability, contaminants are applied to equivalently prepared samples. Specified contaminants are left in contact with the coating film for the prescribed period. The coated, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminant has been removed and the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.
Five classes are used for evaluation - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Grading is like in school.
