REMAL Plus paint is a classic natural water-based kaolin wall paint. It provides excellent coverage, is breathable, abrasion-resistant, and has a standard whiteness of 86%. REMAL wall paint is used for painting walls and ceilings in interiors for painting plasters, concrete, as a paint for drywall, cement boards, particle boards, and renovation plasters. The paint shows resistance to wet abrasion according to ČSN EN ISO 11998 – class 5. (classification according to EN 13300).
REMAL Plus wall paint is easy to process, safe for health, and environmentally friendly. The paint is suitable for painting mineral surfaces in moderately loaded interiors, such as walls and ceilings in bedrooms, living rooms, or corridors, as well as offices, schools, etc.
REMAL paints are all manufactured in the Czech Republic, the paints are environmentally safe, gentle on the environment. All REMAL paints are tintable, where liquid tinting colors can be used, or you can have the paints mixed directly at our stores.
Before painting, remove layers of old and non-adherent coatings. Treat absorbent substrates with REMAL universal primer, non-adherent and crumbling substrates with REMAL deep primer. This will remove dust, strengthen the surface, unify absorbency and ensure adhesion of the coat. Drying time is 4 hours. Even out any irregularities on the wall with REMAL Filler. Dilute the coat in the ratio of max. 0.4 l water to 1 kg of paint. Then mix thoroughly.
Apply the paint with a brush, roller or spraying in 2 layers, apply the next layer of paint after the previous one has dried, at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for applying the paint is 15 to 25 °C. The temperature of the substrate and the environment must not drop below 5 °C during application of the wall paint. For uniform surfaces, use product from one batch of paint, mix different batches together before use.
When working, follow basic hygienic rules. The product is not intended for coatings that come into direct contact with food, animal feed, drinking water, or for coatings of children's toys and furniture. Keep out of the reach of children. If you do not feel well, seek medical advice.
The product is treated with a biocide. It contains 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxyethyl)hexahydro-1,3,5-triazine, 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one+, octhilinone (ISO), reaction mixture: 5-chloro-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC number 220-239-6] (3:1). May cause an allergic reaction.
covering materials, such as paper adhesive tape or covering foil, possibly sanding papers. Don't forget about brushes, rollers, spatulas and scrapers.
This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining wet abrasion resistance and washability of paint. Regarding the cleanliness of the coatings, it only specifies the testing method itself, but does not specify the contaminating substances. After drying and conditioning, the painted sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a testing abrasion (cleaning) device. The average loss of coating thickness is calculated from the weight loss. To determine washability, the contaminating substances are applied to similarly prepared samples. The specified contaminating substances are left in contact with the paint film for the prescribed time. The painted, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminating substance was removed and whether the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.
For evaluation, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Grading like in school.
