REMAL Plus paint is a classic natural water-dilutable kaolin-based wall paint. It provides excellent coverage, is breathable, abrasion-resistant, and has a standard whiteness of 86%. REMAL wall paint is used for painting walls and ceilings in interiors on plaster, concrete, as paint for drywall, cement board, particle board, and renovation plasters. The paint shows resistance to wet abrasion according to ČSN EN ISO 11998 – class 5. (classification according to EN 13300).
REMAL Plus wall paint is easy to work with, non-toxic, and environmentally friendly. The paint is suitable for painting mineral surfaces in moderately stressed interiors, such as walls and ceilings of bedrooms, living rooms, or hallways, as well as offices, schools, etc.
All REMAL paints are produced in the Czech Republic, the paints are environmentally safe, and friendly to the environment. All REMAL paints are tintable, where it is possible to use liquid tinting colors, or you can have the paints mixed directly at our stores.
Before painting, remove layers of old and non-adhering coatings. Treat absorbent substrates with REMAL universal primer, treat non-adhering and flaking substrates with REMAL deep primer. This will remove dust from the surface, strengthen it, unify its absorbency, and ensure adhesion of the coat. The drying time is 4 hours. Equalize irregularities on the wall with REMAL filler. Dilute the paint at a ratio of max. 0.4 l of water to 1 kg of paint. Then mix thoroughly.
Apply the paint with a brush, roller, or spray in 2 coats, apply the next layer of paint after the previous one has dried, at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for painting the paint is 15 to 25 °C. The temperature of the substrate and the environment must not drop below 5 °C during the application of the wall paint. For continuous surfaces, use product from the same batch of paint, mix different batches before use.
While working, follow basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for surfaces that come into direct contact with food, feed, drinking water, nor for painting children's toys and furniture. Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical attention.
The product is treated with a biocide. It contains 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxyethyl)hexahydro-1,3,5-triazin, 1,2-benzoisothiazol-3(2H)-on+, octhilinone (ISO), reaction mixture: 5-chlor-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H) -on [EC No. 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-on [EC No. 220-239-6] (3:1). May cause an allergic reaction.
protective materials, such as paper adhesive tape or protective film, possibly sanding papers. Don’t forget brushes, rollers, spatulas, and scrapers.
This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining resistance to wet abrasion and the washability of the paint. Regarding the cleanability of coatings, it only specifies the testing method but does not specify contaminating substances. After drying and conditioning, the coated sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a test abrasion (cleaning) device. The loss of weight is used to calculate the average value of the reduction in the thickness of the coating. To determine cleanability, contaminating substances are applied to similarly prepared samples. Specified contaminants are left in contact with the film for the prescribed time. The painted, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminating substance was removed and whether the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.
For evaluation, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Grading like in school.
