REMAL Plus paint is a classic natural water-based kaolin wall paint. It offers excellent coverage, is breathable, abrasion resistant, and has a standard whiteness of 86%. REMAL wall paint is used for painting walls and ceilings in interiors on plaster, concrete, as paint for drywall, cement boards, particle boards, and renovation plasters. The paint shows abrasion resistance when wet according to ČSN EN ISO 11998 – class 5. (classification according to EN 13300).
REMAL Plus wall paint is easy to process, non-toxic, and environmentally friendly. The paint is suitable for painting mineral surfaces in moderately loaded interiors, such as walls and ceilings of bedrooms, living rooms, or hallways, as well as offices, schools, etc.
All REMAL paints are made in the Czech Republic, the paints are environmentally friendly, and gentle on the environment. All REMAL paints are tintable, where liquid tinting colors can be used, or you can have the paints mixed directly at our stores.
Before painting, remove layers of old and non-adhering coatings. Treat absorbent substrates with REMAL universal primer, and treat non-cohesive and crumbling substrates with REMAL deep primer. This will remove dust, stabilize the surface, unify the absorbency, and ensure the adhesion of the coating. Drying time is 4 hours. Level any unevenness on the wall with REMAL Spackle. Dilute the paint with a maximum of 0.4 liters of water per 1 kg of paint. Then mix thoroughly.
Apply the paint with a brush, roller, or spraying in 2 layers, applying the next layer after the previous one has dried, at least 4 hours later. The optimal temperature for painting the paint is between 15 and 25 °C. The temperature of the substrate and environment must not drop below 5 °C during the application of the wall paint. For cohesive surfaces, use product from one batch of paint; mix different batches together before use.
When working, follow basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for coatings that will come into direct contact with food, feed, drinking water, or for coatings of children's toys and furniture. Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical help.
The product is treated with a biocide. It contains 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxyethyl)hexahydro-1,3,5-triazin, 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one, octhilinone (ISO), reaction mixture: 5-chloro-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC number 220-239-6] (3:1). It may cause an allergic reaction.
covering materials, such as paper adhesive tape or covering foil, possibly sanding papers. Don’t forget about brushes, rollers, spatulas, and spatulas.
This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining the abrasion resistance when wet and the washability of paint. Regarding the cleanability of coatings, it only specifies the testing method itself but does not specify the contaminating substances. After drying and conditioning, the painted sample is weighed and subjected to cleaning cycles in wet under a testing abrasion (cleaning) device. The loss of weight is used to calculate the mean value of the loss of coating thickness. To determine cleanability, the contaminating substances are applied to equally prepared samples. The specified contaminating substances are left in contact with the coating film for the prescribed time. The painted, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is assessed whether the contaminating substance has been removed and the coating is resistant to abrasion when wet.
For assessment, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Grading as in school.
