Facade paint REMAL FACADE is a modern acrylic facade paint that is easy to clean, breathable, excellently covering, and resistant to weather conditions. It is used for painting lime-cement plasters, masonry, concrete panels, panels made of lightweight materials, břízolit, particle board, etc.

Technical properties of facade paint:

Example of painting procedure for facade paint:

General conditions that must be met before applying facade paint:

• repairing with plaster in outdoor conditions is not suitable
• old non-adherent coatings must be removed, e.g., with a scraper or pressure water
• older substrates must be evaluated, unsuitable ones removed and repaired with new lime-cement plaster
• new lime-cement plasters must be allowed to mature for at least one month
• the coat of facade paint is thin-layered - it copies the substrate, therefore it is recommended to remove or brush off sand grains from the surface after the new plasters have dried to prevent the formation of shadows on unevenly smoothed paint
• the temperature of the substrate and environment during work is recommended in the range of 15° C to 25° C, painting cannot be done in rain, strong wind, or intense sunlight
• windows, metal parts, and gutters must be covered, dried paint residues are difficult to remove
• substrates must be dry and matured before starting painting; it is recommended to check the moisture of the plaster with a suitable moisture meter before starting painting
• for larger areas, it is recommended to use products from the same batch or mix different batches together, especially concerning color shades
• the combination of different application techniques (roller + brush) should be tested beforehand, especially with intense shades - risk of differing color due to the difference in paint surface

Too absorbent, powdery, or non-adherent substrates must be pre-treated with a suitable primer, e.g., REMAL, BARLET, or SOICRAT. In the case of local repairs, when it is not possible to wait 4 weeks for the plaster to cure, the new plaster can be treated with the neutralizing salt REMAL TELSAL after drying and continue with the aforementioned primer.

Dilute the paint in a ratio of max. 0.05 l of water to 1 kg of paint. Then mix thoroughly. Apply in 2 layers; apply the next layer after the previous one has dried, at least 4 hours later. For cohesive surfaces, use a product from the same batch, mix different batches together before using.

Handling facade paint:

When working, follow basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for painting surfaces that come into direct contact with foodstuffs, animal feed, drinking water, or for painting children's toys and furniture. Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical assistance.

The product is treated with a biocide. Contains a reactive mixture: 5-chlor-2-methylisothiazole-3(2H)-one [ES number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazole-3(2H)-one [ES number 220-239-6] (3:1). May cause an allergic reaction.

Shelf life of facade paint:

The product retains its useful properties for 5 years from the date of manufacture, in the original unopened packaging. Store in a dry place at a temperature of 5 to 25 °C.

Disposal of facade paint containers and waste:

Dispose of containers with product residues at a location designated by the municipality for the collection of other waste. Further see section 13 of the product safety data sheet.

You may find covering materials useful, such as paper adhesive tape or covering film. Don't forget brushes and rollers.
