REMAL FORTE is a special washable paint for drywall for painting drywall boards, which can also be used for painting plaster, concrete, cement board, particleboard, etc. in interiors. REMAL paint for drywall is health-safe and environmentally friendly.
Paint for drywall has excellent coverage, is breathable, washable, and has a high whiteness of 93%. Washable wall paint - shows resistance to abrasion when wet - measured according to ČSN EN ISO 11998 - class 3. (classification according to EN 13300).
Treat the drywall with REMAL universal priming or a diluted paint for drywall in a ratio of 1 part paint to 1-2 parts water. This will remove dust, unify absorption, and ensure adhesion. Drying time is 4 hours.
To fill holes, cracks, and uneven surfaces, use REMAL Filler. For larger cracks, it is necessary to remove any loose material and you can use UNIFLEX acrylic sealant for drywall to fill them, after it dries, use REMAL Filler for smoothing. After drying and sanding, the substrate is easier to repaint with paint.
Dilute REMAL Forte paint for drywall in a ratio of max. 0.1 l of water to 1 kg of paint. Then mix thoroughly. Apply with a brush, roller, or spraying in 1 - 2 layers, apply the next layer after the previous one has dried, at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for painting is 15 to 25 °C. The temperature of the substrate and environment must not fall below 5 °C during application. For solid areas, use product from the same batch, mix different batches together before use.

covering materials, such as paper adhesive tape or covering foil, possibly sanding papers. Don’t forget brushes, rollers, spatulas, and scrapers.
This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining resistance to wet abrasion and establishing the washability of paint. Regarding the cleanability of coatings, it only specifies the test method itself but does not specify contaminating substances. After drying and conditioning, the painted sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a testing abrasion (cleaning) device. The weight loss is used to calculate the average value of the thickness loss of the coating. For determining cleanability, contaminating substances are applied to similarly prepared samples. Specified contaminating materials are left in contact with the coating film for a prescribed period. Painted, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is assessed whether the contaminating substance has been removed and if the coating is resistant to abrasion when wet.
For evaluation, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Grading is like in school.
How often to paint?
It is generally recommended to paint approximately every 4 to 5 years. However, if you have small children or pets in the family, for hygienic and aesthetic reasons, it is advisable to repaint approximately every 2 years.
