REMAL FORTE is a special washable paint for drywall for coating drywall panels, which can also be used for painting plaster, concrete, cement board, particle board, etc. in interiors. REMAL paint for drywall is non-toxic and environmentally friendly.
Paint for drywall provides excellent coverage, is breathable, washable, and has a high whiteness of 93%. Washable wall paint - shows resistance to wet abrasion – measured according to ČSN EN ISO 11998 – class 3. (classification according to EN 13300).
Treat the drywall with REMAL universal primer or diluted drywall paint at a ratio of 1 part paint to 1-2 parts water. This will remove dust, unify absorbency, and guarantee adhesion. Drying time is 4 hours.
To fill holes, cracks, and uneven surfaces, use REMAL Filler. In larger cracks, it is necessary to remove any loose material and you can use UNIFLEX acrylic putty for drywall to fill them, after drying, use REMAL Filler for leveling. After drying and sanding, the substrate is easier to repaint with wall paint.
Thinning REMAL Forte drywall paint with a maximum of 0.1 l water per 1 kg of paint. Then mix thoroughly. Apply with a brush, roller, or by spraying in 1 - 2 layers, applying the next layer after the previous one has dried, at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for painting is between 15 and 25 °C. The temperature of the substrate and the environment must not fall below 5 °C during application. Use product from one batch for uniform areas; mix different batches together before use.

covering materials, such as paper adhesive tape or covering film, or sanding papers. Don't forget brushes, rollers, paintbrushes, and spatulas.
This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining wet abrasion resistance and the washability of paint. Regarding the cleanability of coatings, it only specifies the testing method itself but does not specify the contaminating substances. After drying and conditioning, the painted sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a test abrasion (cleaning) device. The loss of weight is used to calculate the average loss of coating thickness. To determine cleanability, contaminating substances are applied to equally prepared samples. Specified contaminating substances are left in contact with the coating film for the prescribed time. The painted, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminating substance was removed and the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.
For evaluation, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Grading is like in school.
How often to paint?
It is generally recommended to paint approximately every 4 to 5 years. However, if you have young children or pets in the family, it is advisable to repaint approximately every 2 years for hygiene and aesthetic reasons.
