DENAS UNIVERSAL is a water-based topcoat for surface treatments of building elements and structures made of wood, metal, castings, fresh galvanized sheet metal and galvanized roofing tiles, aluminum, certain types of plastics, chipboard, ceramic tiles with the addition of silane, gypsum board. It complies with the standard for surface treatments of products and toys for children from 0-3 years (ČSN EN 71, part 3) and is suitable for contact with food. Coatings have excellent resistance, do not chalk, nor become brittle due to the effects of UV radiation and weather, and are resistant to the action of cleaning agents used in households. Painted surfaces are extremely mechanically resistant and show long durability in both interiors and exteriors.

The product is safe under designated usage conditions and meets hygiene standards for toys and products for children under 3 years (according to EN 71, part 3), Government Regulation No. 86/2011 Coll., Annex No. 2, III. Chemical substances, point 12 and also meets hygiene requirements for products intended for contact with food and drinking water, set by Ministry of Health Regulation No. 38/2001 Coll., as amended for the white base. DENAS COLOR a.s. has taken measures to ensure that the product marketed complies with the technical documentation and the basic requirements. It does not guarantee the validity of the certificates when tinting outside the manufacturer's premises.
Application procedure:
The surface must be dry, free from dirt, non-adhering layers of old coatings, and grease. Protect new metal surfaces with 1-2 coats of DENAS ANTI-CORROSION PRIMER or DENAS 2IN1 METAL PRIMER, then apply the topcoat DENAS UNIVERSAL in 1-2 layers. For wooden surfaces, first unify with DENAS WOOD PRIMER or diluted DENAS UNIVERSAL paint in a ratio of 1:1 with water, in 1-2 layers depending on the absorption of the wood. Then perform the top coat with undiluted paint in 1-2 layers. For outdoor wood, we recommend protection to depth with a suitable impregnating agent with biocidal effects. For mineral substrates, perform a coating in 1-2 layers with a penetrating agent and subsequently the topcoat DENAS UNIVERSAL in 1-2 layers. The minimum temperature for application and drying is +10 °C and air humidity up to 70%.

Safety and hygiene of paint for wood and metal:
In normal use, there are no situations where immediate medical assistance would be necessary. Recommendation: Observe personal hygiene principles while working. Ensure ventilation of the workplace. When spraying, use respiratory protection. In case of eye contact, rinse with plenty of water.
Waste disposal:
Dispose of paint residues and contaminated containers as hazardous waste in accordance with applicable regulations. The product retains its utility properties in the original unopened packaging at least until the date indicated on the cap/lid.
