
DENAS UNIVERSAL MAT is a top water-based paint for coatings of construction elements and structures made of wood, metal, building materials, fresh galvanized sheet metal and galvanized roofing sheets, aluminum, certain types of plastics, chipboard, ceramic tiles with the addition of silane, plasterboard. It meets the standard for surface treatments of products and toys for children aged 0-3 years (ČSN EN 71, part 3) and is suitable for contact with food. The coatings have excellent durability, do not chalk or become brittle due to the effects of UV radiation and weathering, and are resistant to household cleaning products. Coated surfaces are extremely mechanically durable and show a long service life indoors and outdoors.

The product is safe under the specified conditions of use and meets hygiene requirements for toys and products for children under 3 years of age (according to EN 71, part 3), Government Regulation No. 86/2011 Coll., Annex No. 2, III. Chemical substances, point 12, and also meets hygiene requirements for products intended for contact with food and drinking water, as established by MZČR Regulation No. 38/2001 Coll., as amended for the white base. DENAS COLOR a.s. has taken measures to ensure that the product placed on the market complies with the technical documentation and basic requirements. It does not guarantee the validity of certificates when tinting outside the manufacturer's premises.
Application procedure:
The substrate must be dry, free from dirt, non-adhering layers of older coatings, and grease. New metal surfaces should be protected with 1–2 layers of anti-corrosive primer DENAS FOR METAL-PRIMER or DENAS FOR METALS 2V1, then apply the topcoat DENAS UNIVERSAL in 1–2 layers. Wooden substrates should first be unifying with DENAS FOR WOOD-PRIMER or diluted DENAS UNIVERSAL paint in a ratio of 1:1 with water, in 1–2 layers depending on the absorptive capacity of the wood. Then perform the top coat with undiluted paint in 1–2 layers. Wood outdoors is recommended to be protected to depth with suitable impregnating agent with biocidal effects. Protection of mineral substrates should be done by coating with 1–2 layers of penetrating agent and subsequently with the topcoat DENAS UNIVERSAL in 1–2 layers. The minimum temperature for application and drying of the coating is +10 °C and ambient humidity up to 70%.

Under normal use, there are no situations where immediate medical assistance would be necessary. Recommendations: When working, follow personal hygiene principles. Ensure ventilation of the workplace. When applying by spraying, use respiratory protection. In case of eye contact, rinse with water.
Waste disposal:
Paint residues and contaminated containers should be disposed of as hazardous waste in accordance with applicable regulations. The product retains its usable properties in the original unopened container for at least until the date stated on the lid.
