DENAS UNIVERZÁL MAT is a top water-based paint for coatings of construction elements and structures made of wood, metal, building materials, fresh galvanized sheet metal and galvanized roofing sheets, aluminum, some types of plastics, chipboard, ceramic tiles with the addition of silane, drywall. It meets the standard for surface treatments of products and toys for children from 0-3 years (ČSN EN 71, part 3) and is suitable for contact with food. The coatings have excellent resistance, do not chalk, nor become brittle due to UV radiation and weathering, are resistant to cleaning agents used in households. Coated surfaces are extremely mechanically resistant and have a long lifespan in both interiors and exteriors.

The product is safe under designated conditions of use and meets sanitary requirements for toys and products for children up to 3 years old (according to EN 71, part 3), Government Regulation No. 86/2011 Coll., Annex No. 2, III. Chemical substances, point 12, and also meets sanitary requirements for products intended for contact with food and drinking water, as stipulated by the MZČR Decree No. 38/2001 Coll., in its current wording for the white base. DENAS COLOR a.s. has taken measures to ensure compliance of the product marketed with the technical documentation and the basic requirements. It does not guarantee the validity of certificates when tinting outside the manufacturer's site.
Application procedure:
The substrate must be dry, free of dirt, non-adherent layers of old paints, and grease. Protect new metal surfaces with 1-2 coats of DENAS ANTI-CORROSION BASE or DENAS 2V1 FOR METALS, then apply the top coat DENAS UNIVERZÁL in 1-2 layers. For wooden substrates, first uniform with DENAS WOOD BASE or diluted DENAS UNIVERZÁL paint in a 1:1 ratio with water, in 1-2 layers considering the absorbency of the wood. Then perform the top coat with undiluted paint in 1-2 layers. For exterior wood, we recommend protection to depth with a suitable biocidal treatment. Protection of mineral substrates should be performed by painting with 1-2 layers of primer and subsequently with the top covering paint DENAS UNIVERZÁL in 1-2 layers. The minimum application and drying temperature is +10 °C and air humidity up to 70%.

Safety and hygiene of paint for wood and metal:
Under normal use, there are no situations requiring immediate medical assistance. Recommendation: Follow personal hygiene principles while working. Ensure ventilation of the workspace. When spraying, use respiratory protection. If the eyes are affected, rinse with water.
Waste disposal:
Dispose of paint residues and contaminated packaging as hazardous waste in accordance with applicable regulations. The product retains its properties in the original unopened packaging for at least until the date indicated on the lid.
