ETERNAL mat Revital is a universal silk-matt water-dilutable coating material for indoor and outdoor use, prepared from a special cross-linkable dispersion of acrylic copolymers, pigments, fillers, and additives. It forms relatively hard, elastic matte coatings with high resistance to weathering and excellent blocking resistance, even at higher temperatures. It features very good coverage, good flow, quick drying, and excellent adhesion, even to old synthetic and oil coatings. ETERNAL mat Revital complies with the conditions of ČSN EN 71 Part 3 Safety of Toys Migration of certain elements.
Area of use:
ETERNAL mat Revital is intended for indoor and outdoor coatings of wood, fiberboard, particleboard, cement-bonded boards, drywall, non-slip concrete, metal substrates coated with anti-corrosive paint, and some types of plastics (tough PVC, hard PVC, ABS, polystyrene plastics, Umakart, polyester and epoxy laminates; not intended for coatings on PE, PP, PTFE). For plastics of unknown composition, a test coating must be applied beforehand. It is suitable for painting window frames and sashes, including plastic windows, doors, door frames, heating bodies, school boards, furniture, such as wooden, metal, and plastic chairs, shelves, benches, carpet beaters, playground equipment, etc. ETERNAL mat Revital is suitable for both new and renovation coatings.
Application:
ETERNAL mat Revital is applied to a dry, perfectly cleaned and degreased substrate free of non-adhering particles and residues of non-stick coatings using a brush, roller, pneumatic or high-pressure airless spraying, at substrate and ambient temperatures ranging from 8 °C to 30 °C and a relative humidity of max. 75%. Depending on the chosen application technology, the coating material is diluted with water up to a maximum of 15% by weight. For application by high-pressure airless spraying, ETERNAL mat Revital is not diluted. It is sprayed at a pressure of 160 bar with nozzle no. 311 or larger (verified on VYZA vario equipment). ETERNAL mat Revital is applied in two to three layers, depending on the required thickness, with a minimum time interval of 2 hours (20 °C). At lower temperatures and higher relative humidity, the time interval must be extended. An extension is also necessary for highly absorbent substrates.
Consumption (final coat):
Coating of steel substrates:
Steel substrates must be thoroughly cleaned of corrosion products, mechanical dirt, and residues of old loose coatings and degreased (best with a solution of ETERNAL degreaser concentrate or another suitable detergent followed by rinsing with water). The prepared and dried substrate is coated with one to two coats of ETERNAL anticorrosive acrylic paint or ETERNAL for metals with an interval of 4 hours between coats. After the anticorrosive coating has dried, two layers of ETERNAL mat Revital are applied with a time interval of 2 hours between coats.
Wood, fiberboard, and particleboard coatings:
The substrate is thoroughly cleaned of dust and mechanical impurities, resin spots are removed (e.g., by washing with nitro thinner), and the surface is primed with FORTEKRYL primer with protective effects against wood-destroying and wood-staining fungi and wood-destroying insects. In dry interiors, the penetrating agent FORTE penetral can also be used. After the primer has dried, the surface is lightly sanded. Fiberboard and particleboard are then coated with one layer of ETERNAL In stop isolating paint to prevent the potential penetration of color stains from the substrate into the topcoat. After the isolation coat has dried, the surface is lightly sanded. Two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital are then applied to the prepared substrate with a time interval of 2 hours between coats.
Coatings of concrete surfaces and plasters:
Mineral substrates should be free of non-adhering coatings, mechanical dirt, and the greasy surface should be thoroughly degreased (ETERNAL degreaser). The dry substrate is primed with FORTE penetral, and after it has dried, two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital are applied with an interval of 3 hours between coats. For priming very absorbent substrates (plasters), diluted ETERNAL mat Revital in a 1:1 ratio can also be used. Mineral substrates must be sufficiently carbonated.
Coatings of cement-bonded particleboards:
Cement-bonded boards must be sufficiently carbonated. The surface of the boards must be thoroughly cleaned of mechanical dirt, non-adhering old coatings, degraded surface layers, and grease. The prepared substrate is thoroughly saturated with the special penetrating agent FORTE penetral. Penetration is best done with one coat to saturation of the substrate. When the dried penetrating agent begins to create a shiny film on the surface, penetration is complete. After a minimum of six hours from penetration, two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital are applied with a technological break of 4 hours between coats.
Coatings of plastics:
The surface of the plastics must be thoroughly cleaned, free of any residues of old non-adhering surface treatments, glues, separators, protective films, and degreased (best with a solution of ETERNAL degreaser concentrate or another suitable detergent followed by rinsing with water). Glossy surfaces are recommended to be sanded with fine sandpaper (no. 360 or finer). Two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital are applied to the prepared substrate with a technological break of 4 hours between coats
