Description Detecha Superkov Satin 2v1 primer and topcoat for metal, semi-gloss, red-brown, 5 kg

Detecha Superkov Satin 2v1 primer and topcoat for metal is a newly developed coating with a silky glossy appearance in an attractive modern color range. It is a primer and topcoat in one, which provides not only an attractive appearance but also perfect corrosion protection. It reliably acts against all weather influences including UV radiation. It is highly flexible and can withstand significant temperature fluctuations. For long-term protection (up to 8 years), 2 coats of Superkov Satin are sufficient without a prior primer.

Properties of metal paint:

  • Primer and topcoat alkyd-urethane coating
  • High degree of corrosion protection
  • Highly flexible – can withstand significant temperature fluctuations
  • Contains UV ray absorber that prevents degradation of the coating due to weather
  • Long-lasting, modern appearance, easy application.

Dilution:
S 6005

Use of metal paint:

Outdoor and indoor coatings for metals. Sheet metal roofing, gates, gutters, sills, frames, fencing, steel structures, piping, and other metal materials. We recommend allowing galvanized sheet to oxidize naturally. For corroded substrates, it is advisable to treat them with Fest Primer beforehand.

  • Substrate: steel, cast iron, galvanized steel, titanzinc, aluminum, copper. We recommend painting freshly galvanized sheet after 1 year of exposure to weather conditions.
  • Environment: interior, exterior with high corrosion stress (humid areas, industrial spaces)
  • Examples: sheet metal roofing, gates, gutters, sills, frames, fencing, steel structures, piping, etc.

Yield:
Theoretical yield for one coat is 9 - 11 m² per 1 kg of coating material at the usual dry film thickness of 40 - 50 µm (corresponding wet thickness is 75 - 95 µm). Actual yield depends on the quality of the substrate and the method of application. Maximum lifespan can be achieved with proper application and a dry coat thickness of 100 - 150 µm.

Preparation of the substrate and method of application:
Painted surfaces must be dry, degreased, free of dirt, rust, and old non-adhering coatings. We recommend cleaning with a high-pressure water jet with a rotary nozzle. Before use, the contents of the can should be thoroughly mixed and possibly diluted (5-10% thinner) to the required consistency. To ensure compatibility of the new coat with any old coating, it is advisable to perform a test coat on a small area. The paint is applied with a brush, roller, or spraying in 2 - 3 coats at temperatures between +5 to +25 °C. The interval between individual coats is at least 18 hours at 20 °C. For spraying application, a wet-on-wet method can also be followed after partial evaporation of solvents from the previous coat (i.e., approximately after 30 minutes). The coating becomes touch-dry within 6 hours and fully cures within 48 hours. Lower temperatures or increased humidity may cause prolonged drying times. Do not work in direct intense sunlight! When painting large continuous surfaces, it is recommended to use products from the same production batch or mix the contents of individual packages in a larger container to achieve color homogeneity. Surfaces difficult to clean of corrosion residues should be pre-treated with Fest Primer for improved quality and longevity of the entire coating system.
