Synthetic anti-corrosive paint for primer and top layer on metal serves to treat metal surfaces and to reliably protect them against the formation of corrosion. It provides a strong barrier effect against long-term exposure to weather and sunlight. To ensure long-term protection (up to 8 years), 2 - 3 layers of Superkov are fully sufficient without the need for prior priming. SUPERKOV functions as both a primer and a topcoat anti-corrosive coating on metals, sheet roofing, steel structures, gutters, etc.

Properties of the metal paint:

• Alkyd paint with increased solid content.
• Functions as a reliable anti-corrosive base and at the same time as a top protective layer with a significant barrier function.
• The composition includes an effective corrosion inhibitor and UV absorber, which protect the coating from degradation due to weather conditions.
• SUPERKOV does not require prior priming or additional top coatings

Usage:
Primer and top coatings for sheet metal roofing, steel structures, gutters, fences, and all metal objects exposed to lasting weather effects (including sunlight) without prior treatment with a primer. Freshly galvanized sheet should be painted after one year of exposure to weather conditions or after proper surface treatment with an appropriate agent.

Yield:
The theoretical yield for one layer is 7 – 9 m² from 1 kg of coating material at a normal dry film thickness of 40 – 50 µm (which corresponds to a wet thickness of 75 - 100 µm). Actual consumption depends on the condition of the substrate and the application technique. The longest lifespan can be achieved by following the correct procedure and applying a dry coat with a minimum thickness of 150 μm.

Surface preparation and application method:
The surfaces to be painted must be dry, degreased, and free from dirt, rust, and old non-adhering coatings. Before use, the contents of the can must be thoroughly mixed and, if necessary, lightly diluted to the required consistency. The coating is applied with a brush, roller, or spray in two to three layers at a temperature of +5 to +25 °C. Avoid working in direct strong sunlight! The interval between coats is at least 6 hours at 20 °C. The coating dries to the touch within 4 hours and cures within 24 hours. When painting large continuous surfaces, it is recommended to use products from the same production batch or mix the contents of individual packages to homogenize the color. Surfaces that are heavily corroded or difficult to clean should be treated beforehand with a fastening polyurethane product like Fest primer. This will improve the quality and longevity of the entire coating system.
