Base and top anti-corrosive synthetic paint for metal intended for surface treatment of metal materials and for their effective protection against the formation of corrosion. It creates a high barrier effect against the permanent effects of weather conditions and sunlight. For long-term protection (up to 8 years), 2 - 3 layers of Superkov are sufficient without prior priming. SUPERKOV is a base and top anti-corrosive coating for metal, sheet roofing, steel structures, gutters, etc.

Properties of metal paint:

• Alkyd coating material with a higher solid content.
• Serves as a quality anti-corrosive base and at the same time as a top protective coat with a high barrier effect.
• Contains an effective corrosion inhibitor including UV light absorber that works against coating degradation from the weather.
• SUPERKOV does not require any priming or subsequent top coats

Usage:
Base and top coatings for sheet coverings, steel structures, gutters, fences, and all metallic items exposed to permanent weather effects (including sunlight) without prior treatment with a primer. We recommend painting freshly galvanized sheets after 1 year of exposure to weather conditions or after prior surface treatment with an appropriate agent.

Coverage:
Theoretical coverage for one layer is 7 – 9 m² per 1 kg of coating material at a typical dry film thickness of 40 – 50 µm (corresponding wet thickness is 75 - 100 µm). Actual coverage depends on the quality of the substrate and method of application. Maximum longevity can be achieved with correct application and a minimum thickness of 150 μm of dry coating.

Surface preparation and application method:
The surfaces to be painted must be dry, degreased, and free of dirt, rust, and old non-adhering coatings. Before use, thoroughly mix the contents of the can, possibly dilute to the needed consistency. The paint is applied with a brush, roller, or spray in two to three layers at temperatures of +5 to +25 C. Do not work in direct strong sunlight! The interval between individual coats is min. 6 hours at a temperature of 20 °C. The coating is touch dry within 4 hours and hardens within 24 hours. When painting continuous larger areas, it is recommended to use products from the same production batch or mix the contents of different packages to color homogenize. For surfaces that are strongly corroded or hard to clean, we recommend pre-treating with the anchoring polyurethane product Fest primer. This will improve the quality and lifespan of the entire coating system.
