Synthetic oil wood impregnation stain

CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:

Wood stain S1023 is designed for protective staining of both soft and hardwood exposed to weather conditions as well as for interior applications. It protects wood from the effects of UV radiation. Contains natural oil. The wood stain deeply penetrates the structure of the wood, enhances its natural grain, thereby providing highly effective coatings. It features very easy refurbishing of the old coating. Shade 0000 - colorless is intended for indoor use only!!

Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden cladding, ceilings, wall coverings, fences, cabins and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.

SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:

Wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a moisture content of a maximum of 12%, free from resin residues before application. Wood with high resin content (larch, pine) must be pre-treated to remove all resin exudates, for example by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of the wood's pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final surface finish of the wood and also the overall lifespan of the coating system.

The surface of the wood intended for outdoor use must first be treated with a suitable fungicidal impregnation agent, which provides protection against mold, fungi, and insects, for example, the LAZUROL IMPREGNATING BASE S1033. The surface of the wood intended for indoor use is best treated first with the colorless stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023. The penetration with colorless impregnation provides the wood with uniform absorbency of the substrate before applying the coating materials. Subsequently, the surface of the wood must be sanded with fine sandpaper and only then apply the impregnation stain. When renovating, it is necessary to remove the old non-adhering layer, for example by sanding.

DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)

Theoretical coverage: 8 - 10 m²/l for one coat depending on the absorbency of the substrate

WORKING PROCEDURE:

It is applied with a brush after thorough mixing onto the pre-prepared substrate. The stain does not need to be diluted, it is already at the application viscosity. During work, it is necessary to regularly stir the staining varnish. For indoor use, it is applied in 1 to 2 coats; for outdoor coatings, it is advisable to use three coats, but only in color tones. The colorless stain is intended for indoor coatings. Individual coats can be applied at intervals of 24 hours. For uniform enhancement of the wood's grain, it is advisable to wipe off the non-absorbed varnish after 10 to 15 minutes of application using a dry brush or cloth.

Always paint uniform surfaces with material from the same production batch to ensure a consistent color tone. The final tone is influenced by the type of wood, the condition of the surface, and previous coatings, so it is recommended to test the coating beforehand on a sample area. Any complaints about color must be recognized exclusively based on the test area.
To achieve high gloss, you can overlay the dried layer of LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 with LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or the natural shade of LAZUROL GOLD S1037 stain. For floors, you can apply LAZUROL OUTDOOR FLOOR VARNISH S1020.

Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, papers, dust, etc.) soaked with the stain must be disposed of safely, as they may self-ignite under certain circumstances.

When working, you will also appreciate protective aids, such as protective film or paper masking tape. Don’t forget rollers and brushes.
