Synthetic oil impregnation stain
CHARACTERISTICS AND USE:
Wood stain S1023 is intended for protective staining of soft and hardwoods exposed to weather conditions as well as for interior coatings. It protects wood from the effects of UV radiation. It contains natural oil. The wood stain deeply penetrates the structure of the wood, highlighting its natural grain and thus providing highly effective coatings. It is characterized by very easy renewability of the old coating. Shade 0000 - colorless is intended only for indoor use!!
Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden panels, ceilings, wall and ceiling cladding, fences, cottages, and wooden houses, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.
SUBSTRATE PREPARATION:
The wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a moisture content of max. 12%, free from resin residues before application. Wood with an increased resin content (larch, pine) must be freed from all resin exudates beforehand, e.g. by washing with nitro thinner BALTECH C6000. The quality of wood pre-treatment affects the overall appearance of the final wood surface finish as well as the overall lifespan of the coating system.
The surface of the wood intended for outdoor use must first be impregnated with a suitable fungicidal impregnator that provides protection against fungal, mold, and insect attacks, e.g. with the preparation LAZUROL IMPREGNATING BASE S1033. The surface of the wood intended for indoor use is best treated first with the colorless stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023. The penetration with a colorless impregnator ensures uniform absorbency of the substrate before applying the coatings. Subsequently, the surface of the wood must be sanded with fine sandpaper, and only then should the impregnation stain be applied. When renovating, it is necessary to remove the old non-adhering layer of paint, e.g. by sanding.
DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)
Theoretical coverage: 8 - 10 m²/l per layer depending on substrate absorbency
WORKING PROCEDURE:
It is applied with a brush after thorough mixing on a pre-prepared substrate. The stain does not need to be diluted; it is already in the application viscosity. During application, it is necessary to regularly mix the staining varnish. For indoor use, it is applied in 1 to 2 layers; for outdoor coatings, it is advisable to use three layers, but only with color shades. The colorless stain is intended for interior coatings. Individual coatings can be applied at intervals of 24 hours. To emphasize the wood grain uniformly, it is advisable to wipe off any unabsorbed varnish after 10 to 15 minutes of application using a dry brush or cloth.Always use material from one production batch for continuous areas. When using the same production batch, the same color shade is guaranteed. The type, surface, and previous coating of the wood affect the final shade of the coating, so we recommend performing a test coating before the final application. Complaints about color shades will only be accepted if the complaint is regarding the test area.
For high gloss, it is possible to coat the dried stain applied with LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 with LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or with the natural shade of LAZUROL GOLD S1037 stain. Floors can be recoated with LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALKABLE VARNISH S1020.
Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, paper, dust, etc.) soaked with stain must be disposed of safely, as they may self-ignite under certain circumstances.
You may find covering material such as paper tape or covering film useful. Don’t forget brushes and rollers.
