Lazurol Topdecor S1035 thin-layer wood stain is intended for protective staining coatings for soft and hard wood, exposed to weather conditions, as well as for coatings in interiors (garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall and ceiling cladding, fences, summer houses and wooden cottages, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors). The wood stain contains wax, natural oil, and transparent iron oxides. It deeply penetrates into the wood structure and highlights its grain. It provides long-term wood protection against water and UV radiation. The coatings are color-fast, easy to renew, and do not crack. Shade T000 - natural is intended for indoor use only!!

Examples of use: garden furniture, wooden gables, ceilings, wall and ceiling cladding, fences, summer houses and wooden cottages, windows, doors, cork, penetration of wooden floors.

PREPARATION OF SUBSTRATE:

The wood must be clean, dry, well-sanded, with a maximum moisture content of 12%, free from resin residue before application. Wood with a high resin content (larch, pine) must be free from all resin exudates in advance, for example, by washing with BALTECH C6000 thinner. The quality of the wood’s pretreatment affects the overall appearance of the final wood finish and also the overall lifespan of the coating system.

Wood surfaces intended for outdoor use must first be treated with a suitable fungicidal impregnation that protects the wood against mold, fungi, and insects, for example, with LAZUROL IMPREGNATION BASE S1033. Interior wood surfaces are advisable to pre-treat with colorless stain LAZUROL CLASSIC S1023 or natural shade LAZUROL TOPDECOR S1035. Penetration with colorless impregnation ensures uniform absorbency of the substrate before subsequent application of coatings. Subsequently, the wood surface must be sanded with fine sandpaper before applying the impregnation stain. When renovating coatings, it is necessary to remove the old non-adherent layer of paint, for example, by sanding.

DILUTION: thinner BALTECH S6006 (especially for cleaning tools)

Theoretical yield: 13-15 m²/l per coat depending on the substrate’s absorbency

WORKING PROCEDURE:

Apply with a brush after thorough mixing onto the pre-prepared substrate. The stain does not need to be diluted, it is already in application viscosity. During work, the stain should be regularly mixed. For indoor use, apply in 1 to 2 coats; for outdoor coatings, it is advisable to use three coats, but only with colored shades. Colorless stain is intended for interior coatings. Individual coats can be applied at intervals of 24 hours. To uniformly highlight the wood grain, it is advisable to wipe off unabsorbed varnish after 10 to 15 minutes of application using a dry brush or cloth.

For uniform areas, always use material from the same production batch. Using the same production batch guarantees the same color shade. The type, surface, and previous coating of the wood affect the final shade of the coating, so we recommend performing a test application before the final application. Claims for color shades will only be recognized when claiming the test area.

For high gloss, the dried coating applied with LAZUROL TOPDECOR S1035 can be overcoated with LAZUROL UNIVERSAL VARNISH S1002 or the natural shade of LAZUROL GOLD S1037 stain. Floors can be overcoated with LAZUROL OUTDOOR WALKING VARNISH S1020.

Warning: Absorbent materials (rags, sawdust, paper, dust, etc.) soaked with stain must be disposed of safely, as they can self-ignite under certain conditions.

Tinting: Color shades can also be prepared in the TELURMIX tinting system.
