Description Eternal mat Revital color for renewing old coatings, RAL 1028 Melon Yellow, 350 g

ETERNAL mat Revital is a universal silk-matt water-based coating material for indoor and outdoor use, prepared from a special crosslinkable dispersion of acrylic copolymers, pigments, fillers, and additives. It forms relatively hard, elastic matte coatings with high weather resistance and excellent blocking resistance, even at higher temperatures. It is characterized by very good coverage, good flow, quick drying, and excellent adhesion even to old synthetic and oil paints. ETERNAL mat Revital meets the requirements of ČSN EN 71 part 3 Safety of toys Migration of certain elements.

Area of application:
ETERNAL mat Revital is designed for indoor and outdoor coatings of wood, fiberboard, chipboard, and particle-cement boards, drywall, non-walkable concrete, metal substrates treated with anti-corrosive coating, and certain types of plastics (tough PVC, hard PVC, ABS, polystyrene plastics, Umakart, polyester and epoxy laminates; not intended for coatings of PE, PP, PTFE). For plastics of unknown composition, a test coating must be performed in advance. It is suitable for painting window frames and sashes, including plastic windows, doors, door frames, radiators, school boards, furniture, such as wooden, metal, and plastic chairs, shelves, benches, carpet beaters, playground equipment, etc. ETERNAL mat Revital is suitable for both new and renovation coatings.

Application:
ETERNAL mat Revital is applied to a dry, perfectly cleaned, and degreased substrate free of loose particles and residues of non-stick coatings using a brush, roller, pneumatic or high-pressure airless spraying, at substrate and ambient temperatures between 8 °C and 30 °C and relative humidity max. 75%. Depending on the chosen application technology, the coating material is diluted with water up to a maximum of 15% by weight. For application via high-pressure airless spraying, ETERNAL mat Revital is not diluted. It is sprayed at a pressure of 160 bar using a nozzle size 311 or larger (verified on the VYZA vario device). ETERNAL mat Revital is applied in two to three layers according to the desired thickness, with a time interval of at least 2 hours (20 °C). At lower temperatures and higher relative humidity, the time interval must be extended. Extension is also necessary for highly absorbent substrates.

Consumption (final coat):

  • wood, fiberboards 0.22 – 0.35 kg/m²
  • metals 0.20 – 0.25 kg/m²
  • concrete, plaster 0.30 – 0.35 kg/m²

Coating of steel substrates:
Steel substrates must be carefully cleaned of corrosion products, mechanical contaminants, remnants of loose old coatings, and degreased (preferably with ETERNAL degreaser concentrate solution or another suitable detergent followed by rinsing with water). The prepared and dried substrate is coated with one to two coats of ETERNAL anticorrosive acrylic paint or ETERNAL for metals with an interval of 4 hours between coatings. After the anticorrosive coating has dried, two layers of ETERNAL mat Revital paint are applied with a time interval of 2 hours between coats.

Wood, fiberboard and chipboard coatings:
The substrate is thoroughly cleaned of dust and mechanical contaminants, resinous spots are removed (e.g., by washing with nitro thinner), and the surface is primed with FORTEKRYL primer with protective effects against wood-destroying and wood-coloring fungi and wood-destroying insects. In dry interiors, the penetrating agent FORTE penetral can also be used. After the primer has dried, the surface is sanded with fine sandpaper. Fiberboard and chipboard are then treated with one coat of ETERNAL In stop isolation paint to prevent potential staining from the substrate to the top coat. After the isolation coating has dried, the surface is sanded with fine sandpaper. Two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital paint are applied to the prepared substrate with a time interval of 2 hours between coats.

Coatings of concrete surfaces and plasters:
Mineral substrates must be freed of non-stick coatings, mechanical contaminants, and greasy surfaces must be thoroughly degreased (ETERNAL degreaser). The dry substrate is primed with FORTE penetral, and after it has dried, two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital paint are applied with an interval of 3 hours between coats. For priming very absorbent substrates (plaster), ETERNAL mat Revital diluted with water in a ratio of 1:1 can also be used. Mineral substrates must be sufficiently carbonated.

Coating of particle-cement boards:
Particle-cement boards must be sufficiently carbonated. The surfaces of the boards must be completely free of mechanical contaminants, non-stick old coatings, degraded surface layers, and grease. This prepared substrate is thoroughly saturated with the special penetrating agent FORTE penetral. It is best to penetrate with one coat until the substrate is saturated. When the dried penetrating agent begins to form a glossy film on the surface, we stop the penetration. After a minimum of six hours from penetration, two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital paint are applied with a technological break of 4 hours between coats.

Coatings of plastics:
The surface of plastics must be thoroughly cleaned, removing potential residues of old non-stick surface treatments, adhesives, separators, protective films, and degreased (preferably with ETERNAL degreaser concentrate solution or another suitable detergent followed by rinsing with water). Glossy surfaces should be sanded with fine sandpaper (No. 360 or finer). On this prepared substrate, two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital paint are applied with a technological break of 4 hours between coats
