Description Eternal mat Revital paint for restoring old coatings, 213 black, 350 g

ETERNAL mat Revital is a universal silk-matt water-based coating material for indoor and outdoor use, prepared from a special cross-linkable dispersion of acrylic copolymers, pigments, fillers, and additives. It creates relatively hard, elastic matte coatings with high weather resistance and excellent blocking resistance, even at higher temperatures. It is characterized by very good coverage, good flow, quick drying, and excellent adhesion even to old synthetic and oil-based coatings. ETERNAL mat Revital complies with the conditions of ČSN EN 71 part 3 Safety of toys Migration of certain elements.

Application area:
ETERNAL mat Revital is intended for indoor and outdoor coatings of wood, fiberboards, particleboards, cement-bonded particleboards, drywall, non-walkable concrete, metal substrates with anti-corrosion coating, and certain types of plastics (tough PVC, hard PVC, ABS, polystyrene plastics, Umakart, polyester, and epoxy laminates; not suitable for coatings on PE, PP, PTFE). For plastics of unknown composition, a test coat must be performed in advance. It is suitable for painting window frames and sashes, including plastic windows, doors, door frames, central heating bodies, blackboards, furniture, such as wooden, metal, and plastic chairs, shelves, benches, carpet beaters, playground equipment, etc. ETERNAL mat Revital is suitable for both new and restoration coatings.

Processing:
ETERNAL mat Revital is applied to a dry, perfectly cleaned, and degreased substrate free of loose particles and residues of non-adhesive coatings with a brush, roller, pneumatic or high-pressure airless spraying, at a substrate and ambient temperature range of 8 °C to 30 °C and maximum relative humidity of 75%. Depending on the chosen application technology, the coating material is diluted with water up to a maximum of 15% by weight. For application by high-pressure airless spraying, ETERNAL mat Revital is not diluted. It is sprayed at 160 bar pressure using nozzle no. 311 or larger (verified on the VYZA vario device). ETERNAL mat Revital is applied in two to three layers according to the desired thickness, with a time interval of at least 2 hours (20 °C). At lower temperatures and higher relative humidity, the time interval
must be extended. Extension is also necessary for highly absorbent substrates.

Consumption (final coat):

  • wood, fiberboards 0.22 – 0.35 kg/m²
  • metals 0.20 – 0.25 kg/m²
  • concrete, plaster 0.30 – 0.35 kg/m²

Coating of steel substrates:
Steel substrates must be carefully cleaned of corrosion by-products, mechanical impurities, residues of loosened old coatings, and degreased (preferably with a solution of ETERNAL degreaser concentrate or another suitable detergent followed by rinsing with water). The prepared and dried substrate is given one to two coats of ETERNAL anti-corrosion acrylic paint or ETERNAL for metals with an interval of 4 hours between coats. After the anti-corrosion coating is dry, two layers of ETERNAL mat Revital paint are applied with a time interval of 2 hours between layers.

Coatings for wood, fiberboards, and particleboards:
The substrate must be thoroughly cleaned from dust and mechanical impurities, resin spots removed (e.g., by washing with thinner), and the surface impregnated with FORTEKRYL impregnation with protective effects against wood-destroying and wood-staining fungi and wood-damaging insects. In dry interiors, the penetrating agent FORTE penetral can also be used. After the impregnation has dried, the surface is lightly sanded. Fiberboards and particleboards are then given one coat of ETERNAL In stop insulating paint to prevent possible penetration of colored stains from the substrate into the top coat. After the insulating coat has dried, the surface is lightly sanded. Two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital paint are applied to the prepared substrate with a time interval of 2 hours between layers.

Coatings for concrete surfaces and plasters:
Mineral substrates must be freed from non-adhesive coatings, mechanical impurities, and greasy surfaces must be thoroughly degreased (ETERNAL degreaser). The dry substrate is treated with FORTE penetral preparation, and after it has dried, two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital paint are applied with an interval of 3 hours between layers. For very absorbent substrates (plasters), ETERNAL mat Revital diluted with water in a 1:1 ratio can also be used. Mineral substrates must be sufficiently carbonated.

Coatings for cement-bonded particleboards:
Cement-bonded particleboards must be sufficiently carbonated. The surface of the boards must be perfectly cleaned of mechanical impurities, non-adhesive old coatings, degraded surface layers, and grease. The prepared substrate is then saturated with a special penetrating agent FORTE penetral. It is best to penetrate with one coat until the substrate is saturated. When the dried penetrating agent begins to form a shiny film on the surface, the penetration is finished. After at least six hours from penetration, two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital paint are applied with a technological break of 4 hours between layers.

Coatings for plastics:
The surface of plastics must be thoroughly cleaned, removing any residues of old non-adhesive surface treatments, glues, separators, protective films, and degreased (preferably with a solution of ETERNAL degreaser concentrate or another suitable detergent followed by rinsing with water). Glossy surfaces are best sanded with fine sandpaper (No. 360 or finer). Two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital paint are applied to the prepared substrate with a technological break of 4 hours between layers.
