ETERNAL mat Revital is a universal silk-matt water-based coating material for both interior and exterior use, made from a special networkable dispersion of acrylic copolymers, pigments, fillers, and additives. It forms relatively hard, elastic matt coatings with high weather resistance and excellent blocking resistance, even at higher temperatures. It features very good coverage, good flow, quick drying, and excellent adhesion even to old synthetic and oil-based coatings. ETERNAL mat Revital meets the conditions of ČSN EN 71 part 3 Safety of toys Migration of certain elements.
Area of application:
ETERNAL mat Revital is intended for interior and exterior coatings of wood, fiberboard, particleboard, and cement-bonded boards, drywall, non-walkable concrete, metal substrates coated with anti-corrosive paint, and certain types of plastics (tough PVC, hard PVC, ABS, polystyrene plastics, Umakart, polyester and epoxy laminates; not intended for coatings on PE, PP, PTFE). For plastics of unknown composition, a test coat must be performed beforehand. It is suitable for painting window frames and sashes, including plastic windows, doors, door frames, radiators, school boards, furniture, such as wooden, metal, and plastic chairs, shelves, benches, carpet beaters, children's playground equipment, etc. ETERNAL mat Revital is suitable for both new and restoration coatings.
Processing:
ETERNAL mat Revital is applied to a dry, perfectly cleaned, and degreased substrate free of non-adhering particles and residues of non-stick coatings using a brush, roller, pneumatic or high-pressure airless spraying, at substrate and ambient temperatures between 8 °C and 30 °C and a maximum relative humidity of 75%. Depending on the chosen application technology, the coating material is diluted with water up to a maximum of 15% by weight. For application via high-pressure airless spraying, ETERNAL mat Revital is not diluted. It is sprayed at a pressure of 160 bar with nozzle no. 311 or larger (verified on the VYZA vario device). ETERNAL mat Revital is applied in two to three coats depending on the desired thickness, with a time interval of at least 2 hours (20 °C). At lower temperatures and higher relative humidity, the time interval needs to be extended. Extension is also necessary with highly absorbent substrates.
Consumption (final coat):
Coating of steel substrates:
Steel substrates must be carefully cleaned of corrosion products, mechanical impurities, residues of old coatings, and degreased (preferably with a solution of ETERNAL degreaser concentrate or another suitable detergent with subsequent rinsing with water). The prepared and dried substrate is coated with one to two coats of ETERNAL anti-corrosive acrylic paint or ETERNAL for metals with an interval of 4 hours between coats. After the anti-corrosive coating has dried, two layers of ETERNAL mat Revital paint are applied with a time interval of 2 hours between coats.
Coatings for wood, fiberboard, and particleboard:
The substrate is thoroughly cleaned of dust and mechanical impurities, resin spots are removed (e.g., by washing with nitro thinner), and the surface is treated with FORTEKRYL impregnation with protective effects against wood-destroying and wood-bleaching fungi and wood-destroying insects. In dry interiors, it is also possible to use the penetrating agent FORTE penetral. After the penetration has dried, the surface is sanded with fine sandpaper. Fiberboard and particleboard are then treated with one coat of ETERNAL In Stop insulating paint to prevent the possible penetration of colored stains from the substrate into the top coat. After the insulating coat has dried, the surface is sanded with fine sandpaper. On the prepared substrate, two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital paint are applied with a time interval of 2 hours between coats.
Coatings of concrete surfaces and plaster:
Mineral substrates are freed from non-adhering coatings, mechanical impurities, and degreased thoroughly (ETERNAL degreaser). The dry substrate is treated with FORTE penetral, and after it has dried, two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital paint are applied with an interval of 3 hours between coats. For very absorbent substrates (plaster), ETERNAL mat Revital diluted with water in a 1:1 ratio can also be used for soaking. Mineral substrates must be sufficiently carbonated.
Coatings of cement-bonded boards:
Cement-bonded boards must be sufficiently carbonated. The surface of the boards must be thoroughly freed from mechanical impurities, non-adhering old coatings, degraded surface layers, and grease. The prepared substrate is thoroughly saturated with a special penetrating agent FORTE penetral. The penetration should ideally be done with one coat until the substrate is saturated. Once the dried penetrating agent starts to create a glossy film on the surface, the penetration is finished. After a minimum of six hours from penetration, two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital paint are applied with a technological break of 4 hours between coats.
Coatings of plastics:
The surface of plastics must be perfectly cleaned, free of any residues of old non-adhering surface treatments, adhesives, separators, protective films, and degreased (preferably with a solution of ETERNAL degreaser concentrate or another suitable detergent with subsequent rinsing with water). Glossy surfaces are best sanded with fine sandpaper (no. 360 or finer). Two coats of ETERNAL mat Revital paint are applied to the prepared substrate with a technological break of 4 hours between coats
