REMAL Effect decorative paint with metallic and pearlescent effects is intended for the decoration of modern designs using various painting techniques, such as brush or roller application, spraying, stippling with a sponge, or using painting stencils. By mutually combining REMAL Effect colors with tinting pastes, a delicate, noble, and artistic appearance of the walls can be achieved.

Thanks to the countless combinations, the use of various working procedures and the creator's improvisation, each result represents an original and unique work of art. The optical properties of decorative colors (brightness, shimmer, gloss, strength, depth,…) are fully highlighted through appropriate application. The resulting impression is co-determined by the shade of the substrate and especially by the lighting. Details appear extraordinarily impressive when light hits them or when viewed from different angles and directions. Thanks to the contrast of light and shadow, you will achieve a brighter and more vibrant surface full of freshness.

It is recommended for decorative coatings of all types of mineral plasters, wooden substrates, drywall, etc. in interiors and exteriors. It is suitable for decorative rollers, painting lines, and similar uses. In outdoor environments, it is intended only for short-term applications.

Example of the painting procedure for decorative gloss on the wall:

The substrate must be even, crack-free, dry, sufficiently matured and solid, free of dust, original coatings, and loose particles. All biological infestations (mold, algae) must be removed. Significantly absorbent, crumbling, or
loose substrates must be strengthened beforehand with an appropriate primer, such as REMAL, BARLET, or SOICRAT. Biological infestation (mold) must be eliminated using REMAL Sanal for masonry V1406.

The base coat of the plaster is done with REMAL painting paint or REMAL VINYL in various shades. Before application, the paint must be properly mixed. Mild sedimentation is not a detriment. The paint is diluted according to the method of application in a ratio of 1 part paint to 0 – 1 part water. Other areas must be protected from contamination. Contaminated spots must be cleaned immediately, as dried paint is difficult to remove. The optimal temperature for application is recommended to be between 15 and 25° C. The optimal humidity is 50 to 70% relative. Increased humidity and lower temperatures can significantly affect drying speed. For continuous surfaces, use a product from one batch; mix different batches together before use.

You may find useful covering materials, such as paper masking tape or covering foil, or sanding papers. Don’t forget brushes, rollers, paddles, and spatulas.
