Wash-resistant wall paint REMAL Vinyl Color Mat is a premium colored washable paint with a velvety matte finish, excellent coverage and abrasion resistance. The surface of the paint is gently washable. The coating is intended for painting walls and ceilings indoors on plaster, drywall, and other substrates.
The product is easy to process, safe for health, and environmentally friendly. It demonstrates washability and resistance to wet abrasion after 28 days - class 1. (measured according to ČSN EN ISO 11998, classified according to EN 13300). Application method: brush, paint roller.
up to 12 m² /1 kg for one coat.
Old, non-adhering coatings in thicker layers should be scraped off. Before painting, treat the surface with REMAL deep penetration primer. This will remove dust, strengthen, unify absorbency, and ensure adhesion. Drying time is 4 hours. Even out wall irregularities with REMAL smoothing compound. For retouching spots, e.g., after water leakage, it is advisable to use the isolating coating REMAL Flek-stop. Before use, thoroughly stir the coating, it is diluted for painting. If necessary, dilute with a maximum of 5% clean water. Apply with a short-haired REMAL Vinyl roller. The coat covers in one layer. Retouch at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for application is 15 to 25 °C. Clean soiled areas and tools immediately after application with water, as dried coating is difficult to remove.
Method of application of the washable wall paint:
REMAL Vinyl roller with short hair, brush, spraying AIRLESS - e.g., STORCH AIRLESS ST 550, STORCH AIRLESS ST 700 or STORCH AIRLESS ST 800 recommended pressure from 120 – 150 bar, nozzle size 515 or 517, filter in the gun 50 mesh. When spraying, we always recommend conducting tests on the specific equipment beforehand.
Follow basic hygiene rules during work. The product is not intended for coatings that come into direct contact with food, feed, drinking water, or for coatings of children's toys and furniture. Contains a reactive mixture: 5-chloro-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [ES number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [ES number 220-239-6] (3:1). May cause allergic reactions.
covering material, such as paper adhesive tape or covering foil, possibly sanding papers. Don't forget brushes, rollers, scrapers, and spatulas.
This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining the resistance to wet abrasion and determining the washability of paint. Regarding the cleanability of coatings, it only specifies the testing method itself but does not specify contaminating substances. After drying and conditioning, the coated sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a testing abrasiveness (cleaning) device. The average value of the thickness loss is calculated from the weight loss. For determining cleanability, contaminating substances are applied to the similarly prepared samples. Specified contaminating substances are left in contact with the coating film for the prescribed time. Coated, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminating substance has been removed and the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.
For assessment, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst.
