REMAL Color is a water-based tinted paint with a pleasant scent in attractive shades. It is recommended for painting walls and ceilings indoors, on plasters including renovation ones, drywall, and other substrates. It is easy to process, health-safe, and environmentally friendly.

This wall paint is lightly washable and shows resistance to wet abrasion after 28 days - class 5. (measured according to ČSN EN ISO 11998, classified according to EN 13300).

Example of the coating procedure for REMAL Color wall paint:

Before painting, remove layers of old and non-adherent coatings. Treat absorbent substrates with REMAL universal primer, treat non-cohesive and dusty substrates with REMAL deep primer. This will remove dust, strengthen the surface, unify absorption, and ensure adhesion of the paint. Drying time is 4 hours. Even out wall irregularities with REMAL Filler.

The paint can be diluted according to the application method by a maximum of 10% water. Then mix thoroughly. Apply with a brush, roller, or spray in 2 layers, the next layer should be applied after the previous one has dried, at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for painting is 15 to 25° C. The temperature of the substrate and environment must not drop below 5° C during application. For uniform surfaces, use product from one batch, mix different batches together before use.

Handling wall paint:

Follow basic hygiene rules while working. The product is not intended for coatings that come into direct contact with food, feed, drinking water, or for coatings of children's toys and children's furniture.

Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical attention.

The product is treated with a biocide. It contains 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxyethyl)hexahydro-1,3,5-triazine, 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-one, octhilinone (ISO), reaction mixture: 5-chloro-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [ES number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [ES number 220-239-6] (3:1). It may cause an allergic reaction.

The washability of the paint in practice is addressed by the standard WET ABRASION RESISTANCE ČSN EN ISO 11998

This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining wet abrasion resistance and washability of wall paint. Regarding the cleanability of coatings, it specifies only the test method itself, but does not specify contaminating substances. After drying and conditioning, the painted sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a test abrasion (cleaning) device. From the weight loss, the average value of the paint thickness loss is calculated. To determine cleanability, contaminating substances are applied to equally prepared samples. Specified contaminating substances are left in contact with the paint film for the prescribed time. The painted, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminating substance is removed and the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.

For evaluation, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Grading like in school.
