REMAL Color is a water-dilutable colored paint with a pleasant fragrance in attractive shades. It is recommended for painting walls and ceilings indoors, on plasters including renovation, drywall, and other substrates. It is easy to process, health-safe, and environmentally friendly.
A wall paint that is easily washable, shows resistance to wet abrasion after 28 days - class 5. (measured according to ČSN EN ISO 11998, classified according to EN 13300).
Before painting, remove layers of old and non-adhering paints. Treat absorbent substrates with REMAL universal primer, treat non-cohesive and crumbling substrates with REMAL deep primer. This prepares the surface by removing dust, strengthening it, unifying absorbency, and ensuring paint adhesion. The drying time is 4 hours. Smooth out irregularities on the wall with REMAL Filler.
The paint can be diluted according to the application method with a maximum of 10% water. Then mix thoroughly. Apply with a brush, roller, or spraying in 2 coats, applying the second coat after the previous one has dried, at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for painting is 15 to 25° C. The temperature of the substrate and the environment must not drop below 5° C during application. For uniform areas, use product from the same batch; mix different batches together before use.
When working, observe basic hygiene rules. This product is not intended for surfaces that come into direct contact with food, feed, drinking water, or for painting children's toys and furniture.
Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical attention.
The product is treated with a biocide. It contains 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxyethyl)hexahydro-1,3,5-triazine, 1,2-benzoisothiazol-3(2H)-one+, octhilinone (ISO), a reaction mixture: 5-chloro-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [ES number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [ES number 220-239-6] (3:1). It may cause an allergic reaction.
covering material, such as paper masking tape or covering film, possibly sanding papers. Don’t forget brushes, rollers, scrapers, and spatulas.
This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining resistance to wet abrasion and washability of wall paint. Regarding cleanability of coatings, it only specifies the testing method itself but does not specify contaminants. After drying and conditioning, the painted sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a testing abrasion (cleaning) device. From the loss of weight, the mean value of the decrease in the thickness of the coating is calculated. For determining cleanability, the specified contaminants are applied to evenly prepared samples. The specified contaminants are left in contact with the paint film for a prescribed time. Painted, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminant was removed and whether the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.
5 classes are used for evaluation - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Grading is like in school.
