REMAL FORTE is a special washable paint for drywall for coating drywall panels, which can also be used for coatings on plaster, concrete, cetris boards, chipboard, etc. in interiors. REMAL paint for drywall is health-safe and environmentally friendly.
Paint for drywall covers excellently, is breathable, washable, and has a high whiteness of 93%. Washable paint for walls exhibits resistance to wet abrasion – measured according to ČSN EN ISO 11998 – class 3. (classification according to EN 13300).
Prepare the drywall with REMAL universal primer or thinned paint for drywall in a ratio of 1 part paint to 1-2 parts water. This will remove dust from the surface, unify absorption, and ensure adhesion. Drying time 4 h.
To fill holes, cracks, and uneven surfaces, use REMAL Filler. In larger cracks, it is necessary to remove any loose material, and for filling, you can use UNIFLEX acrylic sealant for drywall, after it dries, use REMAL Filler for leveling. After drying and sanding, the substrate will be easier to repaint with paint.
Thinning REMAL Forte paint for drywall in a maximum ratio of 0.1 l of water to 1 kg of paint. Then mix thoroughly. Apply with a brush, roller, or spraying in 1 - 2 layers, apply the next layer after the previous one has dried, at least after 4 h. The optimal temperature for painting is 15 to 25 °C. The temperature of the substrate and environment must not drop below 5 °C during application. For homogeneous surfaces, use product from one batch, mix different batches together before use.
When working, observe basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for use on surfaces that come into direct contact with food, animal feed, drinking water, or for painting children's toys and furniture. Keep
out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical attention.
The product is treated with a biocide. It contains a reaction mixture: 5-chloro-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [ES number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [ES number 220-239-6] (3:1). May cause allergic reactions.
The product retains its useful properties for 5 years from the date of manufacture, in original unopened packaging. Store in a dry warehouse at a temperature of 5 to 25 °C.

covering material, such as paper masking tape or covering foil, possibly sanding papers. Don’t forget brushes, rollers, spatulas, and trowels.
This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method of determining resistance to wet abrasion and the washability of paint. Regarding the cleanability of coatings, it specifies only the test method itself, but does not specify the contaminating substances. After drying and conditioning, the painted sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a testing abrasion (cleaning) device. From the weight loss, the average value of the coating thickness loss is calculated. To determine cleanability, contaminating substances are applied to equally prepared samples. Specified contaminating substances are allowed to remain in contact with the coating film for a prescribed period. Painted, contaminated samples then undergo cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminating substance was removed and whether the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.
Five classes are used for evaluation - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Grading is like in school.
How often to paint?
It is generally recommended to paint approx. every 4 to 5 years. However, if you have small children or pets in the family, for hygiene and aesthetic reasons, it is advisable to repaint approximately every 2 years.
