REMAL Color is a water-based colored paint with a pleasant scent in attractive shades. It is recommended for painting walls and ceilings indoors, on plaster including renovation plaster, drywall, and other substrates. It is easy to process, health-safe, and eco-friendly.
A wall paint that is lightly washable, demonstrates resistance to wet abrasion after 28 days - class 5. (measured according to ČSN EN ISO 11998, classified according to EN 13300).
Before painting, remove layers of old and non-adherent coatings. Treat absorbent substrates with REMAL universal primer, treat non-adhering and crumbling substrates with REMAL deep primer. This will remove dust from the surface, strengthen it, unify absorbency, and ensure adhesion of the coating. The drying time is 4 hours. Smooth out unevenness on the wall with REMAL filler.
The paint can be diluted according to the method of application by a maximum of 10% water. Then mix thoroughly. Apply with a brush, roller, or spraying in 2 layers, apply the next layer after the previous one has dried, at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for painting is 15 to 25° C. The temperature of the substrate and environment must not drop below 5° C during application. For homogeneous areas, use product from one batch, mix different batches together before use.
When working, follow basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for coatings that come into direct contact with food, animal feeds, drinking water, or for coatings of children's toys and furniture.
Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical help.
The product is treated with a biocide. It contains 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxyethyl)hexahydro-1,3,5-triazin, 1,2-benzisothiazol-3(2H)-on+, octhilinone (ISO), reactive mixture: 5-chlor-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-on [ES number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-on [ES number 220-239-6] (3:1). May cause an allergic reaction.
covering material, such as paper adhesive tape or covering film, or sanding papers. Don't forget brushes, rollers, spatulas and scrapers.
This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining resistance to wet abrasion and establishing the washability of paint. Regarding the cleanability of coatings, it only sets the testing method but does not specify contaminating substances. After drying and conditioning, the coated sample is weighed and subjected to cleaning cycles in a testing abrasion (cleaning) device. From the weight loss, the average value of the thickness loss of the coating is calculated. To determine cleanability, contaminating substances are applied to equally prepared samples. Specified contaminating substances are left in contact with the coating film for the prescribed time. The coated, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminating substance has been removed and whether the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.
For assessment, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Grading like in school.
