Decorative painting color REMAL Effect with a metallic and pearlescent look for decorating modern designs using various painting techniques such as brush or roller painting, spraying, sponging, and using painting templates. By combining REMAL Effect colors with toning pastes, it is possible to create subtle, noble, and artistic wall appearances.

Thanks to endless combinations, utilizing various work processes and the creator's improvisation, every result can be considered an original and unique work of art. The optical properties of decorative painting colors (brightness, sparkle, gloss, thickness, depth, etc.) are revealed by suitable applications. The final appearance is also influenced by the shade of the underlying surface and especially by the lighting. Details have a very effective impact when light falls on them or when viewed from different directions and angles. Using light-dark contrast, you achieve a brighter and more vivid surface full of freshness.

It is recommended for decorative coatings of all types of mineral plasters, wooden substrates, drywall, etc. in interiors and exteriors. It is suitable for decorative rollers, painting lines, etc. In outdoor environments, it can only be used for short-term applications.

Example of painting process for decorative gloss on the wall:

The substrate must be smooth and free of cracks, dry and sufficiently cured, solid, dust-free, and free of old coatings and loose particles. It must be free of biological infestation (mold, algae). Too absorbent, crumbling or
loose substrates must be pre-treated with a suitable primer like REMAL, BARLET, or SOICRAT. Biological infestation (mold) should be eliminated with REMAL Sanal for wall V1406.

The base coat of plaster is done with REMAL or REMAL VINYL paint in various shades. Before application, the paint must be properly mixed. Mild sedimentation is not a problem. The paint is diluted according to the method of application in the ratio of 1 part paint to 0 – 1 part water. Other areas must be protected from contamination. Soiled areas must be cleaned immediately, as dried paint is difficult to remove. The optimal temperature for application is recommended to be between 15 and 25° C. The optimal air humidity is 50 to 70% rel. %. Increased air humidity and lower temperatures can significantly affect drying speed. For large areas, use product from the same batch, mix different batches together before use.

Handling the decorative painting gloss:

When working, observe basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for coatings coming into direct contact with foodstuffs, animal feeds, drinking water, or for coatings of children’s toys and furniture. Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical attention.

The product is treated with a biocide. It contains a reactive mixture: 5-chloro-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC number 220-239-6] (3:1). It may cause allergic reactions.
Shelf life The product retains its useful properties for 5 years from the date of manufacture, in the original unopened packaging. Store in a dry place at a temperature of 5 to 25 °C.

Disposal of containers and waste: decorative gloss REMAL Effect:

Containers with product residues should be disposed of at the place designated by the municipality for the collection of other waste. See section 13 of the product safety data sheet for more information.

You might need covering material, such as paper adhesive tape or covering foil, or perhaps sanding papers. Don't forget brushes, rollers, detail brushes, and spatulas.
