REMAL Efekt is a decorative painting paint offering a pearlescent and metallic effect, designed for creating modern designs using various painting techniques – from brush or roller application to spraying and dabbing with a sponge to working with painting stencils. It is recommended for decorative coatings of all types of mineral plasters, wood substrates, drywall, etc., both indoors and outdoors. It is suitable for use with decorative rollers, creating lines, and more. In outdoor settings, use is only possible for short-term purposes.

Example of the painting procedure for decorative gloss on the wall:

The surface must be flat and free of cracks, dry and sufficiently cured, solid, without dust, old coatings, and non-coherent particles. It must be free of biological infestation (mold, algae). Too absorbent, crumbling, or
non-cohesive substrates must be pre-treated (strengthened) with suitable primer such as REMAL, BARLET, or SOICRAT. Biological infestation (mold) should be eliminated with REMAL Sanal for masonry V1406.

The base coat of the plaster is applied with REMAL painting paint or REMAL VINYL in various shades. Before application, the paint must be thoroughly mixed. Slight sedimentation is not a drawback. The paint is diluted according to the method of application in the ratio of 1 part paint to 0 – 1 parts water. Other areas must be protected from contamination. Contaminated areas must be cleaned immediately, as dried paint is difficult to remove. The optimal temperature during application is recommended to be between 15 and 25° C. The optimal humidity is 50 to 70% relative. Increased humidity and lower temperatures can significantly affect drying times. For large areas, use product from the same batch; mix different batches together before use.

You may find protective material, such as paper adhesive tape or protective foil, and possibly sandpapers. Also, do not forget brushes, rollers, and scrapers.
