Washable wall paint REMAL Vinyl Color Mat is a premium colored washable paint with a velvet matte appearance, excellent opacity, and abrasion resistance. The surface of the paint is gently washable. The coating is designed for painting walls and ceilings in interiors on plaster, drywall, and other substrates.
The product is easy to process, health-friendly, and environmentally friendly. It exhibits washability and resistance to wet abrasion after 28 days - class 1. (measured according to ČSN EN ISO 11998, classified according to EN 13300). Application method: brush, roller, spraying.
up to 12 m² /1 kg for one coat.
Old non-adhering coatings in thicker layers should be scraped off. Before painting, treat the surface with REMAL deep penetration primer. This will remove dust, strengthen, unify absorbency, and ensure adhesion. Drying time is 4 hours. Even out irregularities on the wall with REMAL filler. For touching up stains, e.g., after water leakage, it is advisable to use the isolating coating REMAL Flek-stop. Before use, mix the coating thoroughly; it is diluted for painting. If necessary, dilute with a maximum of 5% pure water. Apply with a short-haired REMAL Vinyl roller. The coating covers in one layer. Recoat after a minimum of 4 hours. The optimal temperature for application is 15 to 25 °C. Clean dirty areas and tools immediately after application with water; dried paint is difficult to remove.
Application method for washable wall paint:
REMAL Vinyl roller with short hair, brush, AIRLESS spraying - e.g., STORCH AIRLESS ST 550, STORCH AIRLESS ST 700, or STORCH AIRLESS ST 800 recommended pressure from 120 – 150 bar, nozzle size 515 or 517, gun filter 50 mesh. When spraying, we recommend always conducting tests on specific equipment beforehand.
When working, observe basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for coatings that come into direct contact with food, feed, drinking water, or for painting children's toys and furniture. Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical help. The product is treated with a biocide. Contains a reactive mixture: 5-chloro-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EINECS number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EINECS number 220-239-6] (3:1). May cause allergic reactions.
covering materials, such as paper adhesive tape or covering film, or sandpapers. Don’t forget brushes, rollers, spatulas, and scrapers.
This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining resistance to wet abrasion and establishing washability of paints. Regarding the cleanability of coatings, it only specifies the testing method itself, but does not specify pollutants. After drying and conditioning, the coated sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a test abrasion (cleaning) device. From the loss of weight, the mean value of thickness loss of the coating is calculated. For establishing cleanability, pollutants are applied to equally prepared samples. Specified pollutants are left in contact with the coating film for the prescribed time. The coated, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the pollutant was removed and the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.
For evaluation, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst.
