REMAL Color is a water-based tinted paint with a pleasant scent in attractive shades. It is recommended for painting walls and ceilings in interiors, on plasters including renovations, drywall, and other substrates. It is easy to process, non-toxic, and eco-friendly.
Wall paint that is lightly washable, shows resistance to abrasion when wet after 28 days - class 5. (measured according to ČSN EN ISO 11998, classified according to EN 13300).
Before painting, remove layers of old and non-adherent coatings. Treat absorbent substrates with REMAL universal primer, treat unstable and crumbling substrates with REMAL deep primer. This will remove dust from the surface, strengthen it, unify absorption, and ensure adhesion of the paint. Drying time is 4 hours. Level any unevenness on the wall with REMAL filler.
The paint can be diluted up to 10% with water depending on the application method. Then mix thoroughly. Apply with a brush, roller, or spraying in 2 coats, apply the next coat after the previous one has dried, at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for painting is 15 to 25° C. The temperature of the substrate and environment should not drop below 5° C during application. Use product from the same batch for contiguous areas, mix different batches before use.
When working, follow basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for coatings that come into direct contact with food, animal feed, drinking water, nor for the coating of children's toys and furniture.
Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical help.
The product contains a biocide. It contains 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxyethyl)hexahydro-1,3,5-triazine, 1,2-benzoisothiazol-3(2H)-one, octhilinone (ISO), reaction mixture: 5-chlor-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EINECS number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EINECS number 220-239-6] (3:1). May cause an allergic reaction.
protective materials, such as paper masking tape or protective film, or sanding papers. Don’t forget brushes, rollers, pads and spatulas.
This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes the accelerated method of determining wet abrasion resistance and washability of wall paint. Regarding the cleanability of coatings, it sets only the testing method itself, but does not specify the contaminating substances. After drying and conditioning, the coated sample is weighed and subjected to cleaning cycles in a test abrasion (cleaning) device. The loss in weight is used to calculate the average loss of coating thickness. For determining cleanability, the contaminating substances are applied to equally prepared samples. The specified contaminating substances are left in contact with the coating film for the prescribed time. Coated, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminating substance has been removed and the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.
For evaluation, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Grading as in school.
