REMAL Washable Wall Paint Vinyl Color Matte is a premium colored washable paint with a velvet matte finish, excellent coverage, and abrasion resistance. The surface of the paint is gently washable. The coating is intended for painting walls and ceilings indoors on plaster, drywall, and other substrates.
The product is easy to process, health-safe, and environmentally friendly. It shows washability with resistance to abrasion when wet after 28 days - class 1. (measured according to ČSN EN ISO 11998, classified according to EN 13300). Application method: brush, paint roller.
up to 12 m² /1 kg for one coat.
Old non-adherent layers in thicker coats must be scraped off. Before painting, treat the surface with REMAL deep penetration primer. This will remove dust, reinforce, unify absorbency, and ensure adhesion. Drying time: 4 hours. Level out wall irregularities with REMAL putty. For spot touch-ups, e.g. after water damage, it is advisable to use REMAL Flek-stop isolation primer. Before use, thoroughly mix the paint, it is diluted for painting. If necessary, thin with a maximum of 5% clean water. Apply with a REMAL Vinyl roller with short fibers. The coating covers in one layer. Overcoat minimally after 4 hours. The optimal application temperature is 15 to 25 °C. Clean soiled areas and working tools immediately after application with water; dried paint is hard to remove.
Method of application of washable wall paint:
REMAL Vinyl roller with short fibers, brush, AIRLESS spraying - e.g. STORCH AIRLESS ST 550, STORCH AIRLESS ST 700, or STORCH AIRLESS ST 800 recommended pressure from 120 – 150 bar, nozzle size 515 or 517, filter for the gun 50 mesh. When spraying, we recommend always conducting tests on the specific device in advance.

covering materials, such as paper adhesive tape or covering foil, or sanding papers. Don't forget brushes, rollers, and spatulas.
This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes the accelerated method for determining resistance to abrasion when wet and determining the washability of paint. As for the cleanability of coatings, it specifies only the testing method itself but does not specify the polluting substances. After drying and conditioning, the coated sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in the test abrasion (cleaning) device. The loss of mass is used to calculate the average loss of coating thickness. For determining cleanability, pollutant substances are applied to equally prepared samples. Specified pollutants are left in contact with the coating film for the prescribed duration. The painted, soiled samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It will be evaluated whether the pollutant was removed and whether the coating is resistant to abrasion when wet.
For evaluation, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst.
