REMAL Ekonomik is a paint with visually enhanced whiteness, opacity, and high vapor permeability. REMAL Ekonomik paint is used for painting plaster, concrete, drywall, cement boards, particle boards, and renovation plasters in interiors. The paint is made from natural limestones, allowing for multiple layers to be applied. Due to its composition, it enables faster drying. The wall paint REMAL Ekonomik has a whiteness of 94%.
The interior paint for walls and ceilings REMAL Ekonomik is easy to process, health-safe, and ecological. It shows resistance to wet abrasion after 28 days - class 5. (measured according to ČSN EN ISO 11998, classified according to EN 13300).

Before painting with the universal paint REMAL Ekonomik, remove layers of old and non-adhering paints. It is good to treat absorbent substrates with REMAL universal primer, and non-cohesive and crumbling substrates with REMAL deep primer. This will remove dust from the surface, strengthen it, unify absorbency and ensure adhesion of the paint layer. The drying time is 4 hours. Level out any unevenness on the wall with REMAL putty. Dilute the paint at a ratio of 0.2 l of water to 1 kg of paint max. Then mix thoroughly.
Apply the paint with a brush, roller, or spraying in 2 layers; apply the next layer after the previous one has dried, at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for painting is between 15 and 25 °C. The temperature of the substrate and the environment must not fall below 5 °C during the application of wall paint. For large areas, use a product from one batch of paint; mix different batches before use.
When working, observe basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for surfaces that come into direct contact with food, feed, drinking water, or for painting children's toys and furniture. Keep it out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical help.
The product is treated with a biocide. Contains 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxyethyl)hexahydro-1,3,5-triazin, 1,2-benzoisothiazol-3(2H)-one, reaction mixture: 5-chloro-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [ES number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [ES number 220-239-6] (3:1), okthilinone (ISO). May cause allergic reactions.

This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining resistance to wet abrasion and the washability of paint. Regarding the cleanability of the coatings, it only specifies the testing method itself but does not specify the contaminants. After drying and conditioning, the coated sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a test abrasion (cleaning) device. The average value of the thickness loss of the coating is calculated from the weight loss. To determine the cleanability, contaminants are applied to the similarly prepared samples. The specified contaminants are left in contact with the coating film for the prescribed time. The coated, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminant has been removed and the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.
For evaluation, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Graded like in school.
