REMAL Ekonomik is a paint with optically enhanced whiteness, opacity, and high vapor permeability. REMAL Ekonomik paint is used for painting plaster, concrete, drywall, cement boards, particleboard, and renovation plasters in interiors. The paint is made from natural limestone, which allows for the application of multiple layers. Due to its composition, it enables faster drying. The wall paint REMAL Ekonomik has a whiteness of 94%.
The interior paint for walls and ceilings REMAL Ekonomik is easy to work with, non-toxic, and environmentally friendly. It shows resistance to wet abrasion after 28 days - class 5. (measured according to ČSN EN ISO 11998, classified according to EN 13300).

Before painting with the universal REMAL Ekonomik paint remove layers of old and non-adherent paint. It is advisable to treat absorbent substrates with REMAL universal primer, and to treat non-adherent and crumbling substrates with REMAL deep primer. This will remove dust from the surface, strengthen it, unify absorption, and ensure the adhesion of the paint coat. The drying time is 4 hours. Level any unevenness on the wall with REMAL compound. Dilute the coating with a maximum ratio of 0.2 l of water to 1 kg of paint. Then mix thoroughly.
Apply the paint with a brush, roller, or spraying in 2 layers; apply the next coat of paint after the previous one has dried, at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for painting the paint is 15 to 25 °C. The temperature of the substrate and the environment must not drop below 5 °C during the application of the wall paint. Use a product from the same batch for large areas; mix different batches together before use.
When working, observe basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for coatings coming into direct contact with food, animal feed, drinking water or for painting children's toys and furniture. Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical attention.
The product is treated with a biocide. Contains 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxyethyl)hexahydro-1,3,5-triazin, 1,2-benzoisothiazol-3(2H)-one, reaction mixture: 5-chlor-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [ES number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [ES number 220-239-6] (3:1), octhilinone (ISO). May cause allergic reaction.
covering material, such as paper adhesive tape or covering foil, possibly sanding papers. Don’t forget brushes, rollers, paint brushes, and scrapers.
This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes an accelerated method for determining resistance to wet abrasion and washability of the paint. Regarding the cleanability of coatings, it only establishes the testing method itself but does not specify the contaminating substances. After drying and conditioning, the painted sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a test abrasiveness (cleaning) device. From the loss of weight, the average thickness loss of the coating is calculated. For determining cleanability, contaminating substances are applied to equally prepared samples. The specified contaminants are left in contact with the coating film for the prescribed time. The painted, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminating substance has been removed and if the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.
For assessment, 5 classes are used - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Grading as in school.
