REMAL Ekonomik is a paint with optically enhanced whiteness, opacity, and high vapor permeability. REMAL Ekonomik paint is used for painting plaster, concrete, drywall, cement board, chipboard, and renovation plasters in interiors. The paint is made from natural limestones, allowing for multiple layers of application. Due to its composition, it allows for quicker drying. The REMAL Ekonomik wall paint has a whiteness of 94%.
The interior paint for walls and ceilings REMAL Ekonomik is easy to work with, health-safe, and eco-friendly. It shows resistance to wet abrasion after 28 days - class 5. (measured according to ČSN EN ISO 11998, classified according to EN 13300).

Before painting with REMAL Ekonomik universal paint, remove layers of old and non-adhering paint coatings. Absorbent substrates should be treated with REMAL universal primer; non-cohesive and crumbling substrates should be treated with REMAL deep primer. This will remove dust from the surface, strengthen it, unify absorbency, and ensure the adhesion of the paint. The drying time is 4 hours. Unevenness on the wall should be leveled with REMAL Smoothing Compound. Dilute the paint at a ratio of max. 0.2 l of water per 1 kg of paint. Then mix thoroughly.
Apply the paint with a brush, roller, or spraying in 2 layers; apply the next layer of paint after the previous one has dried, at least after 4 hours. The optimal temperature for painting is 15 to 25 °C. The temperature of the substrate and the environment must not drop below 5 °C during the application of wall paint. Use product from one batch for complete surfaces; mix different batches before use.
When working, follow basic hygiene rules. The product is not intended for surfaces in direct contact with food, animal feed, drinking water, or for painting children's toys and furniture. Keep out of reach of children. If you feel unwell, seek medical attention.
The product is treated with a biocide. Contains 1,3,5-tris(2-hydroxyethyl)hexahydro-1,3,5-triazin, 1,2-benzoisothiazol-3(2H)-one, reactive mixture: 5-chloro-2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC number 247-500-7] and 2-methylisothiazol-3(2H)-one [EC number 220-239-6] (3:1), octhilinone (ISO). May cause allergic reactions.

This international standard ISO EN 11998 describes a rapid method for determining the resistance to wet abrasion and the washability of the paint. Regarding the cleanability of coatings, it only specifies the testing method itself but does not define the contaminating substances. After drying and conditioning, the painted sample is weighed and subjected to wet cleaning cycles in a test abrasive (cleaning) device. The loss in weight is used to calculate the average value of the reduction in thickness of the coating. To determine cleanability, the contaminants are applied to equally prepared samples. The specified contaminants are left in contact with the coating film for a prescribed time. Painted, contaminated samples are then subjected to cleaning cycles. It is evaluated whether the contaminating substance was removed and the coating is resistant to wet abrasion.
Five classes are used for evaluation - class 1 is the best – class 5 is the worst. Grading is like in school.
