Description Het plaster filler for internal and external coatings, 1.6 kg

Acrylic filler for internal and external plaster coatings for internal and external use for minor repairs of grainy surfaces, primarily plastered coatings. For repairing unevenness, filling small non-dilating cracks on facades, repairing corners of plaster, retouching repairs of grainy surfaces, etc. Ready to use immediately.

Properties of Het plaster filler for internal and external coatings:

  • Repairs of plaster coatings,
  • repairs of corners,
  • creation of a grainy surface,
  • for interior and exterior,
  • ready to use immediately.

Usage:
One-component paintable special filler based on acrylic that creates a surface with a grainy structure resembling plaster. Suitable for internal and external use for minor repairs of grainy surfaces, primarily plastered coatings. For repairing unevenness, filling small non-dilating cracks on facades, repairing corners of plaster, retouching repairs of grainy surfaces, etc. The filler is ready to use immediately. The product meets the requirements for surfaces that may come into indirect contact with food. Not recommended for jointing and in areas with high mechanical stress. Filled areas must not be in constant contact with water and rising moisture.

Diluent:
drinking water

Application:
With a spatula, trowel, or stainless steel float. Surface finishing with a cleaning sponge, felt, or foam.

Sanding:
Sanding is not very suitable due to coarse fillers; if necessary, can be sanded with sandpaper or abrasive mesh.

Substrate:
dry, matured (pH ≤8.5; control can be done with a pH tester), cohesive, unsalted, solid, degreased, free of dust, dirt, and non-cohesive layers, without dynamic cracks and joints, without biological infestation (mold, algae). Layers of old coatings with insufficient adhesion must be removed, for example, by scraping. For plasters, remove loose grains of sand (by sanding and/or sweeping). To improve the adhesion of the filler to the substrate, it is advisable to apply a primer product A-GRUND, AT-GRUND, 100-GRUND, or UP-GRUND. Metal elements penetrating the surface to be treated must be protected with a corrosion-resistant coating (e.g., corrosion-resistant paint AQUADECOL PRIMER) before filling.

Application temperature:
The temperature of the material, environment, and substrate must be maintained during application and for 24 hours (preferably 48 hours) after application between +5 and +30 °C (preferably +8 to +25 °C). Do not apply if frost or rain is imminent.

Example of application procedure:

  1. cover windows, radiators, door frames, etc.
  2. before applying the filler, it is necessary to remove any dried material from the packaging and thoroughly mix the filler in its entirety.
  3. layers of old coatings with insufficient adhesion must be removed, for example, by scraping.
  4. apply a primer. For poorly absorbent substrates, the priming coat is applied with primer UP-GRUND, for more absorbent substrates (plaster, lime or lime-cement plaster, masonry, etc.) with products A-GRUND, 100-GRUND, or AT-GRUND according to the instructions for use.
  5. after complete drying of the primer, the PLASTER FILLER is applied with a steel spatula. The recommended thickness for one layer is up to 3 mm, the maximum allowable thickness for one layer is 5 mm. For better filling of the filler into cracks, it is advisable to lightly scratch the cracks first.
  6. to achieve the least visible transitions between plaster and filler, it is advisable to "smooth" the surface with a damp cleaning sponge, felt, or a piece of foam after slight skinning of the filler.
  7. the filler should be allowed to dry until completely dry (approx. 0.5 to 12 hours, possibly longer; drying time heavily depends on the thickness of the layers, absorbency of the substrate, temperature, and humidity).
  8. if necessary, after complete drying, it is possible to apply the filler in additional layers.
  9. working tools and dirty areas should be cleaned immediately with water.
  10. before painting with colors, it is recommended to prime repaired plasters with a product such as UP-GRUND, A-GRUND, AT-GRUND, or 100-GRUND. This will unify the absorbency of the substrate with the filled area.
  11. then it is possible to apply dispersion paint products to the surfaces. It is not suitable to use lime paints or paint products without the content of dispersion binder on filled surfaces.
